Wild_qwerty emailed me the latest monthly update from the Mutants Rising project, here's some of what was posted:<blockquote>New forum opened -We have opened our new public forum(s) at the NWS web site - http://forum.nwsgames.net/

Farewell ColJack! -Due to real life creeping back into the fore, it is with great sadness that we say farewell to ColJack (again). To those of you who don't know, ColJack was one of the two founding members of Mutants Rising, the other was Navyguy (anyone know where he went?). Of course ColJack is always welcome back to MR when he has some time on his hands again.

Mod Status -Unknown at this stage, but I can tell you that we are currently a hive of activity, the new members are doing a great job and the old hands are still doing their part. As the saying goes 'Many hands, make light work' so we are always on the look out ...

Demo Status -We are still working on this and have hopefully solved the problems with the buggy dialogs (this was our biggest objection to releasing the demo before). Also the demo will now include a couple of new critters and weapons along with a glimpse of the Mutants Rising story.

Demo Release Date -No date set yet, but we will hopefully begin the next round of testing soon.

Sample Audio -Hometown MP3 -Check out this clip called "Hometown" by Eimink.

New Critter - Female Child -This critter has been modeled by Lisac2k one of NWS' newest members.

Concept Art - Main Menu -Here we have a concept sketch by another new member, soup</blockquote>Nice, gimme the demo now!

When do we get to see death anims ?

I don't think he's made them yet, and you'll have to wait for the demo to see those

Yep, We are always looking for people with the following qualities:

1) Dedication, The most important quality of a member.
2) Willingness to learn.
3) Talent, I suspose this is always good.

Why are you interested Silencer?

Just make sure you make a 'backup' of all their data first

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Silencer - if he´s interested, please ask him to apply at the public forum. ;)

I'm not that keen on the music, but I couldn't really say why. :?

The new critter looks very pixelly, but that's probably just because of the lack of background.. Do you have any in game (engine) shots?

Anyway, it's good to see some nice, solid progress. :D

Big T, it doesnt look that differnt than many of the other raw FRMs with similar colorations.......

How's the "New Arroyo" mod coming along anyway?

Well, nb. my sig. I'm planning to finish the penultimate dialogue today, and the last big one before the end of the week. For me, it's all the way downhill from there - all that'll be left are some minor descriptions, floats, etc.

Calleb has finished all the maps to my knowledge - I think you'll really like what he did, that guy is a perfectionist - and Jargo's doing a great job on the strenous process of scripting - I think he's got about 30-40% of the locations done (though I can't say for sure, he's been quite busy recently with his real life catching up to him, but he's doing his best and I'd rather see him transfixing on the task at hand than filing excessive progress reports ;) )

When he's got the coding wrapped up, he'll ready a Beta for us to test. The mod isn't really big enough to be eligible for a "Demo" release - the General Public won't see it until it's fully done (however, I suppose we could use some help from a die-hard Fallout fan in the way of betatesting). I doubt it'll be finished this year, but It'll not take *very* long from today.

great job on the strenous process of scripting
Maybe when you finish your Mod - you will interest to lear Our Script System (mam na mysli burzujski)- and make locations for BZ ?

I will be looking for expedienced scipters...
