MrMattyPlays reviews Fallout 4 for real! Wait, no, it's Far Cry Primal...

What is with these AAA devs, Bethesda has moved Fallout to be more like Far Cry and now Ubisoft seems to moving Far Cry to be more like Skyrim.

"It's just hitting the enemies till they die, and can be cheated easily to make an easy game even easier, besides, you can retreat and heal yourself everytime you need"
Never heard that before :cough::cough: almost every game nowadays, especially bethesda games :cough:

UPDATE: 1) My opinion. Have your own.
2) Fallout 4 has nothing to do with Far Cry Primal. At all.
3) My thoughts on Far Cry Primal have nothing to do with Fallout 4. At all.
4) "Half the complaints can be applied to Fallout 4." That's great. We can also say that about any other game we like or don't like.
5) Ubisoft granted me a review copy because, like any publisher, they see the numbers and potential outreach.

Okay, there. Think I covered the general questions/complaints for the most part.

Edit: I should also add that (before a lovely viewer of mine mentions it) that I am not a fan of feeding trolls, but sometimes it's necessary when they get all rowdy and you have to tell em wassup ;D

I would never want to have the same opinion as this guy when it comes to this subject.

If every game shared half of the complaints with this titanic dog turd we'd be doomed.
Last I checked most games didn't suffer from things like stupid radiant quests, putrid UI, horrible optimization, braindead AI, writing from a kindergartner, dialogue cross that restricts you to yes regardless the answer, forced to kill everything, one dimensional NPCs including companions, world without logic, and some others I'm sure I'm forgetting.
I don't recall most games sharing half of those features with Fallout 4.
Apologist is being an apologist.

Not to defend him, but... that's... a lot of AAA games nowadays. Plus they charge you $60+ for all of it too. It's close to being downright depressing, when corporations can rip off people and that same people will defend said corporation for ripping them off.

What he said, no matter what he intended, doesn't succeed in defending Fallout 4 at all, it just makes the state of the video game industry today more upsetting as a whole. grraahhh Why does money ruin everything?

I put under that
I don't recall most games sharing half of those features with Fallout 4.
In addition to that I said I was probably forgetting some others. Most games don't have half or more of those features is the point I was trying to make, maybe a couple but not half which Matty boy was blabbering about.

Yeah, I got that. :ok:

That's what happens when you rip-off features from every game around you to use as gimmicks in your game - you drag their flaws along with them. Which could've been avoided if not for laziness, but that's really just expecting too much from Bethesda, isn't it?

Still, Fallout 4 itself is not the plague of the games industry. It's a symptom of that plague. Now thanks to it, companies will think it's okay to bring out a dog turd of a game for $60 as long as they spend enough on marketing.

BorderHaloLands of Warcraft, aka Destiny had the same case, sortof... They spent such a HUGE amount of money on advertising the game that their players consider ok paying 150$+. In this case, the past love for FNV or FO3, which were good with their ups and downs, fans make look Bethesda like some indie studio.

Edit: And Skyirim

Come on, people. He praised The Division and that game is basically third-person Destiny in post-apocalyptic New York. Maybe Fallout 4 is just everything he geniunely always wanted. People have different tastes.

Why do we even care what he thinks? His videos have far less views than ones with actual insight. He's a big name but not much else. What are we going to cover next, some Facebook comment slamming Fallout: New Vegas for having a desert as a setting? Do we even have standards here?

Nah it's not about being offended or not. It'just for the fun of doing the exercise of watching him biting a company's ass when he licked it when Beth did the same thing or worst.
:sigh: I'm just gonna return to train for Dark Souls 3 :monocle:.

I find it interesting, but does anyone think Mr Matty is losing views? I don't know, but while he's mentioned it doesn't seem many people watch his channel. Or perhaps I'm wrong.

That 10,000 BC FarCry game looks far more interesting to me compared to Failout 4. FarCry games don't pretend to be anything but what they are - explorer FPS and don't change a whole lot besides settings or time period. FO4 dresses up and 'pretends' to be like Fallout, which has classic roots in PnP and plenty of C&C with the old games, and just sucks at it to the point of being generic.

At least this time Ubisoft has none of that 'expansion pass' nonsense for Primal.

50% Of survival games nowadays can be categorized this way. But i don't recall any game literally making you a prehistoric human.

Completely unrelated, but someone should make a time travelling cRPG where your choices literally reverberate throughout human history, now that would be C&C.

I think Terranigma was a Chrono trigger/secret of mana epoque jRPG about that.
