Musicians out there ?

Solo, man, I'm a one man band. While I play the jaw harp, I also tap the floor with my right foot and add a loud, moist fart here and there for extra effect.

I'm seriously thinking about recording an album of Radiohead covers.

I am (sadly) not a musician - like Pope I'd like to be able to play an instrument, but I never <s>prioritized it</s> got around to it.

I have worked as a DJ, have thousands of CDs, hundreds of vinyl records and not a single illegal mp3. I need music in my life on an every day basis.

I love music, I envy you guys and I implore you to keep at it.

Hmmm.

Daimyo - You and I need to talk.

Normally that means trouble - i.e getting beaten up or getting fired.

However - I am only a PM away :)

Some awesome bands and tunes in this thread...

I do piano, vocals, and compositions. The only place where I actually have anything available for listening is

http://www.myspace.com/gravemidnight

but most of that is a bit old, from when Grave Midnight was actually a band. That all fell apart splendidly when the bassist cheated on his girlfriend, got together with his cheatstress, then nearly drove her into a complete mental breakdown with all his problems. And the guitarist? We were going to reorganize and try for a two-man project of some kind, but that seems to have died since his wife decided she wanted in on the whole thing (she can't play anything) so now I just make random songs that only I listen to :|

Sup.. Listened to At Night. Had potential, methinks. There's a lot of expression in the vocals, but it's too nasal for my taste, and not properly recorded.

Checked out bits of the other songs, and all the music generally sounds a lot like it could fit a cool video game, ehehe, and I think that's a nifty style. Midi sound ftw!!

That's because I recorded them in my bedroom, back before I had any remote understanding of mixing, mastering, and how to properly record vocals :)

Also, there's no surprise if they remind you of video game music a bit. Before I did those, I made MIDI and MOD (Impulse Tracker) music for my and other peoples game projects. Still do, to a degree, though on considerably better equipment and software.

I don't really record anything I do, but I play quite a few instruments, I play the violin, saxaphone, flute, piano, digeridoo, keyboard, bagpipes, and the sittar.

HAHA! Gotta love this.

I ACTUALLY play alt-saxophone. Inherited one from my father, never really touched it untill a year or so back.

I play guitar. I've been playing for about a year. I like metal that isn't shitty and that's what I like to play, besides other stuff.

Right now I'm playing All The Young Dudes, Mott The Hoople style, bitches.

I just got a pedal, it's pretty boss. It's made by DOD and it sound like BWABWAWADNANWNAWNAWNANWWNAN.

Oh, also I dick around in Fruity Loops, but that's whatever.

I was in a band called R.B.W, we were a tech metal quintet, we played a bunch of local shows, the guitar player of converge even really liked us. We played with the Cancer bats, I hate sally and a few others in the underground scene.(Converge is a huge underground metalcore band with punk elements, very technical.) We had a sound somewhat akin to Botch,Converge, and drumwise, the dillinger escape plan. I'll try and track down some old recordings. There's a live video around somewhere. I was the lead err screamer. Funny thing is. I can sing.

I took vocal lessons as a kid, tried guitar, failed horribly at it, I can make pretty awesome techno songs on Fruity loops without any premade patterns and that nonsense. I've been doing that for around 5 years. Working on a alternative electronica album that will fuse elements of Technical metal with House Fusion and synth pop. Don't know how that will play out. It'll probably all sound like spark mandrill anyways.

damn. thanks to you guys im kneedeep in creating electronic music. and its become a whole lot easier since ableton LIVE is available. oresum.
