My Fallout: New Vegas Mods

Update on the first post. I've added my new "No Dialog Tags"-mod.

I liked your idea of removing the skill check next to the answer, sometimes is a immersion killer for me.
Save before talking to someone, check your skill, if didn't worked load the save, read a magazine and voilá...passed! :|

If the game adapted the checks by the player level, changing them accordingly, I wouldn't have much trouble with them being showed.

The Bhramin retexture is a must, can't play the game anymore with the old Brahmin skin. :D

Just to note Lexx, there are some dialogs or situations that still show the skill requirement.

- When talking to Ranger Andy in Novac, if you failed the speech about him, the next tme you talk the requirement are showed again. This also happens with Nash in Primm, when talking if the NCR has a plan to attack the Powder Gangers

- When trying to cure Snuffles leg at Sloan

- Loyal at Nelis, when doing the quest "Ant Misbehavin'" and using the science check (the speech one is allright)

- At the Strip Gate when talking for the first time with the Securitron.

Also, this mod works with Dead Money or only with New Vegas?

Thanks, will check the files and release an update.

The mod only works with New Vegas. I can make a Dead Money version when I got the DLC.

/Edit: Update. Added a Dead Money file now.

YES, YES, YES!!! :D

You made my dream come true, I was preparing myself to encounter the checks in dialogs, but you'd take care of that.
Now we will see what people are made off, playing from the beginning whitouth knowing what requirements are needed.

And your patch came in right time, my D2D download finished some minutes ago, I'm starting a playthrough now.

Thanks a lot.

I've updated my No Dialog Tags mod with a file for Honest Hearts. Wasn't much text to edit this time, with just very few skill checks.

Also includet are some more fixed tags for the main game. Found them by myself by accident, as nobody ever has send in some hints to them yet. I've also noticed that it has just a few downloads anyway-- this kind of proves that nobody is really interested in dialog anyway. Everything that makes you need to think about dialog is shit and not used yadda-yadda. Quite depressing.

Not true dude! Forget the download count, just focus on the fact that you're work is appreciated by a group of players who want the same things you do.

Not to mention, its not like a lot of players even _know_ about your mod. Plenty of good mods exist in relative obscurity because of the rate at which new ones appear. It almost takes a marketing team to get a mod noticed.

PS: there is a comment for your mod, its a little old now, that lists a lot of vanilla game dialogue that still needs the skill checks removed (as of v1.2, not the current)- you might want to check it out.

I'm doing with my old 3ds Max 6 Photoshop for modeling and texture work. But the texture and model of my city-killer is not much the problem. It is more the lack of good entertainment for them, etc. And for the manufacture of some ak-112, I do not feel good enough. I could not use some spelling and may be even voice actors in the early future. Right now I'm in the beta stage of my first and rather small Quest Mod Since English is not my main language, the text could cheated here and there.

Saw it a few days ago (when I've uploaded the last version) and I think it's already fixed. At least in the GECK I couldn't find it anymore.

With Old World Blues there will be the next update. I've found and fixed some more tags, but it's not enough to be worth a new update yet.

Hey, I was wondering if your no dialog tags mod is breaking the MTUI mod?

It doesn't conflict with each other. I am just editing text and such, the interface remains untouched by me.

I hope you continue your mods Lexx, I like them very much.
Being a rather fan of your bottled blood mod for my cannibal build, you should make one for milking the Brahmins.

But unfortunately he is right agris, go to the NV Bethesda forums (or the Vault forums) and you read that one of the reasons FO3 is better than FNV are...too much dialogs.
Yes, people actually complain a lot that you need to read in the game.

Even an reviewer complained about this when the game was launched, wich is sad. :?

The mtui mod doesnt seem to touch yours either, so far it worked like a charm. And I gotta say, it adds a lot to the game, so thanks a lot. I also added your hostage quest mod, but I am a bit sad that it doesnt have voice. I always find the lack of voice very annoying. Guess I am a spoiled kid..

I also found out what your other username and now I am slightly afraid of you..

Version 1.4 of my no-dialog-tags mod is online. Includet is a file for Old World Blues (english), also a fix for Honest Hearts.

Updated the first post with a new mod: Honest Hearts letter, alias "A Last Goodbye." It is just a very small mod, but I will never play without it anymore. :p

The text is written by Tagaziel, I wrote the script and added the rest of the stuff.

And yet another update of my no-dialog-tags mod. It's up to version 1.5 now, with a few fixes for the main game file and additionally the new file for DLC#4, Lonesome Road.

Hey Lexxx after only playing DLC for sometime, I returned to the main game.

Gret job on version 1.6 of the dialog tags removal.
