My Fallout: New Vegas Mods

Hi Lexx,
while clearing HDD of some old ballast, I've stumbled on those screenshots. There are four skill/item/stat check tags which slipped in your tag-removing mod. I don't know if you're still interested in polishing this stuff, but anyway:

Pictures are resized and compressed, hope it will serve its purpose though. Thank you for this excellent modification, it removes a great deal of consolitis from the game.

I dunno. Currently I am not really motivated to do anything New Vegas related. Especially because I never really got any feedback at all. :p

And I've skipped over the files a lot and just couldn't find anything on my own anymore. It's also possible that other mods / patches bring back some of the tags, depending on if they modify certain dialogue lines or not. At least that's how I had some bugs in the mod the last time I replayed the game. Loading the dialog tag mod after everything else solved it again.

Yup, I did put in a dozen of other mods for user interface, so perhaps I've messed it up somehow.
Never mind then, except those four lines all the other dialogues worked like a charm, so not a big deal anyway!

Nope, doesn't. Because I wasn't working on that gun since about 4 years. :>

Sup folks. Gravedigging my own thread!

I have finally updated my Brahmin Variant mod. Or let's say, I totally remade it. Now the healthy brahmin is much more detailed than ever before. Additionally, the horns on the brahmins are now kind of random. Some will have horns on both heads, some will have horns only on one head and some have no horns at all.

So yeah, can be grabbed on the Nexus:

For free!111

Probably going to throw out a texture update in the sooner future, but for now I must go to sleep...

It's not cool unless you can ride it while shooting laser beams out of it's eyes.

Another new, tiny mod.

Allows Raul to perform additional maintenance on your currently equipped weapon. It's pretty much the same mechanic as ED-E has after getting the upgrade in Lonesome Road. Raul repairs a little less though, due to his companion perk which generally reduces decay already anway. Still I figured he needed something a bit more, because he feels so ignored to me (same as Lilly actually, who is probably the most unliked companion? I think I never even finished her companion quest...).

Yeah, her quest was pretty boring. I never used her that much. I like your mods Lexx. Keep up the good work. I might have to make some room in my load order.

Was thinking about merging some of my mods, but I feel so lazy to keep up the maintenance. I think there are tools that easily merge multiple mods, though.

Gonna release some new bigger shit more or less soon as well. Hope sooner than less sooner, though.

It is easy enough for users to combine them. You are right.

Updated my Brahmin Variant Redux mod.

Also, because I was toying around with Fo3 a little bit lately I decided to simply port it over... Wasn't much work, as luckily both games have a lot in common. Though, I think the furry brahmin don't really fit the setting of Fallout 3, as everything else around them is so fucked up and shitty.

Aaand my next shit is finally out. Grab it here:

It's kind of a re-release of New Vegas Uncut 6 - If it wasn't for Betsy. I fixed it up... lots of bugfixes, my own tweaks, little changes here and there and fully voiced dialogue. I think the result is pretty good.

I never used that mod due to the bugs. Now I will. +1

Got a run right now...

This is not the real project I wanted to work on next, just a small and fast proof of concept mod...

The mod does what the screenshot shows. There are two *.esp files in the release, one that comes with a script- only shows the holster when a supported weapon is equipped, the other adds a "free" item to Goodsprings, which you can equip whenever you want to.

It bothered me A LOT that in all the years nobody made god damn rifle holster. I hated the floating rifles since Fallout 3 and especially since I've played Red Dead Redemption, which - I think for the very first time ever? - added holster for rifles....

But here comes the sad part of it: I spend 4 hours working on this test. The model isn't perfect, the texture certainly is not either. The whole concept might not work at all... but in 7 hours I got over 1000 views and over 100 downloads. Then I look at my Betsy mod, which cost me 2 months of work and it only has barely more.

I downloaded Betsy. Will endorse ASAP. Keep it up!

What can we expect from you in the future?

More brahmin related content maybe. But I'll guess it will take at least a month or two till I release the next bigger thing. This stuff eats a lot time.

More Brahmins @Lexx? When will Bighorners catch your love? They have hearts too you know.

Just kidding man, love your mods. They are with the few mods that I keep when I cleansed all the mods in my pc to make space.

Question: Do NPCs have the holster or is just the player and cia that can have it?

Bighorners are cool bros, but I just don't find them chill enough.

The holster are only available to the player, but NPCs can be equipped with them easily- Example: If you give them to your companions they will wear them too. Technically it's just a new layer of clothing.

I made a ninja-teaser of Betsy, by the way:
