'My Little Fallout'

Dude, let it go. Why don't you drop this crusade and go look at some other threads on NMA and discuss the last film you saw or some (other) book you read. For several posts now you seem to miss all the red lights, bells, whistles and a fog horn going off that should tell you that you have no traction with rhetoric like that.

It is wonderful that somebody actually took the time and threw the post-apoc. genre together with ponies. But these parts it's like... Reservoir Dogs: Barbies. Not cool enough.

Once AGAIN:
What crusade, tone, attitude, or whatever did I have before some one told me (and any other brony) to leave, told me I was in the wrong for talking about FoE, that I shouldn't defend bronies or FoE, basicly trying to (or am) forcing my likes onto others, looked for a bad place to talking about said likes, and that I should die (as well as other bronies).

What should I do? Start a new thread for bronies? Another thread for the FoE world (not just Kkat's first/original book)? A thread for those who might want to play one of the FoE pnp/tabletop games? If this thread isn't for ANY of these things, then why start another? So I can be told to die, to leave, and to stop forcing my likes onto others?

If what I've been doing is some kind of crusade, forcing interests, or just looking to talk in a bad place for the topic, then isn't that what all of NMA is?:twitch:

I've asked it a few times now, and I'll ask it again: Why am I, the one trying to be as cool, calm, and collected as possible, getting all of this? Doesn't telling people to die trump almost (if not) everything else? Is it not the moderators job to stop harassment, and not partake in it or let it go on? I understand there's only been two sense I first posted, but why am I the one being reprimanded for anything while others are being far, FAR worse than myself?

The fact I was referring to was that in the Fallout universe horses have died out. Yes, it is fanfiction I get it, that's not the problem. The problem is you calling people "scum of the universe".

I've only told you to cut it out because it is obvious you are looking to start something. You've just recently joined and this is the only thread you've posted in. Do you go to every forum to defend MLP? Because that's all you're doing here. The thread was dead, the last post was in 2012, but you had to start it up again. It could have been ignored, but you seem to want to get a rise out of people with your choice of words and preaching to the wrong audience. It is just rather odd.

I don't like when other hate on people for liking or not liking something. It's stupid. I don't care about MLP. The thread was over, done in 2012, but you join seemingly to just resurrect it to start fights, which is a no go.

So, you seem to think I was more upset about him saying there's no equine life in Fallout. And not (for some reason) him coming over here to tell bronies to leave a thread made for bronies? Why? That makes no sense to me. And let me see if I'm getting this right: Me calling a person scum of the universe for being a rude ass, is worse than some one telling a hole group of people to die because he doesn't like what they like? What I said before stands.

When the haters stop coming here (to hate and not talk, talking is better if you didn't know) or some fans come to chat, then I'll stop my trashcan fires, and let you walk past burning houses. Fair?:deal:

I joined for mods. When I went to get a mod, I got a message saying I needed an account. So I made one and got some mods and thought "Well seeing as how I have an account, lest's look and see what there is for bronies to sit in a corner and chat." I only got this thread in a search, and hoped to get some more BRONIES back to it. Not people wanting to call us names, or tell us to leave, or tell us to die. This was the only one I found, sadly. So seeing as how I'm not finding anything other than this under "brony" and "bronies" I'll try other things such as pony or mlp or something. (they seem kinda too broad, but if you're implying there's more, you being a moderator, I'd think you to have an idea of it. So what the heck. Maybe there's some filter issue for this computer or something. People going by bronies, with out saying it out right.)

I would have thought this one point to be made clear though. My first post here was on topic. I didn't talk broadly about MLP, but FoE and Fallout (this being a sight for Fallout related things, and this thread for Fallout: Equestria). So I am a little lost (still) as to why you thought I was only posting here for some kind of fight. But after you finally said why... it is a little more understandable. I guess.:?

I see your point, but I don't think this thread was intended to be a celebration of bronies.

Welcome to the forum, haha. We are a community of Fallout fans. Don't think there is much love for MLP here.

While I see that being kinda true for THIS site (still hoping for one of the many MLP FoE FoU fans to pop up), it's FAR from totally true.

This was once a mod to Fo3, and is now it's own standalone game.
This is a game made from scratch.
This is one of many pnp/tabletop games.
This is a Fo2 mod.
(I once found a database for the fanfic spinoffs of fanfic FoE, and can't find it now for some reason.)EDIT2: I found it just now. Here
This is a different database. This one if for almost anything made by fans. Not so much fanfictions of the fanfic. (look into comics and you'll see some people trying to make Kkat's original into a comic and one person is doing it all by hand. That's over a thousand pages, being turned into a graphic novel.)

So this makes me think (along with this thread being here to begin with) that there has to be more than just one brony (me) on this site, or will be in the future.

EDIT:
I forgot to mention the hundreds of diffrent people reading the stories on YT, that a group working out how many words ALL spinoffs + original have (with it not being update, it's over 10 million words), and the number of spinoffs is over 500. On youtube, there's four groups doing unique things (one's a radio play of FoE, another is working on making it an animated series, another on a radio series of a guy looking to set the world right or at least record the events going on, and another radio play of a paddler who took on a too big to deal to escort another pony safely.) Sooo, yeah, a lot of people have a big interest in Fallout: Equestria. lol

Bronies and Fallout/Pony mash ups are totally welcome here, since it ties into Fallout in at least some way. It's a niche genre, certainly... but y'all play nice together.

600,000 words dedicated to a fanfiction about children's show animals, all written by grown-ass men.

This is a waste of talent, here.

I don't think you know the meaning of the word "talent."

A friend of mine once tried to traumatize me by linking me to a magnifically well painted and detailed depiction of Simba being cummed in the face.
The artwork itself was impressive.
:(

I used to be a fan of the show (I just sort of had a falling out with it), and I saw Fallout: Equestria everywhere, I never saw the appeal of it though. I mean is it may be good but, mashing cute things with murderous things never intrigued me. If I remember someone wrote a whole novel about it...If someone could tell me if it was good or not I might just check it out, though.

The original by Kkat can be found here. I say, give it a few chapters. I forget when Calamity joins the small group of one, but give it a chapter or two past that. It will give you time to see if you like the humor or not. If you want a different root, then I say look at some reviews of it. Here's one from the reviewer AnY, and one from SkyBolt doing an honest trailer parody. I once found a review of the book, and the guy talked about his struggles with addiction. He gave FoE prays for getting the struggle down right. If I remember who it was, I'll send you a link to his review. And If you REALY don't mind the wait, there's a radio play being made by a group on youtube. They are going about one chapter pre episode, and it took them seven months to go from episode one to episode 2. Episode two came out a couple of days ago.

I'm reading the fanfic of the fanfic called Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons. Where FoE was around 49 chapters, this one is at chapter 66 or 67 and still going strong. I still have a few chapters to get caught up. Project Horizons almost seems like an amine, with the foes getting more powerful and/or ridiculous and the main character (Blackjack) has to as well.

Kinda sad reading through this thread, just shows what this community is like... But I really hope that in this one year, since the thread was active, people have changed, and started to tolerate a bit more...

I have lots of brony/pony friends both male and female, who are great artists, and honestly, never had a problem with them myself. What does it matter to you guys, if someone puts ponies in place of humans in their artwork(both written and painted)? It's still an art, and you should appreciate the art itself - the color, contrast, mood, composition, aesthetic... It's all common in pony and non-pony artworks...

Is tolerance really that hard of a thing for people to grow into? You guys are on the internet, and internet is an easy place to pick on people, because they think nobody will get punished. This is why we need to learn to tolerate people more than we do in reality. In reality, we'll eventually get kicked in the face, and that will be a great lesson. But sitting with your fat butts on the chair and typing negative comments...? Seriously, guys?

I hope this thread gets more active with more pony artwork, as artwork is what I'm really lacking to see in this forum recently... And I can see why...

Some people have a negative reaction due to how often ponies were shoved into their faces by militant fans. You can't really blame them for that when they're just tired of seeing it brought up seemingly everywhere. Now, granted, this thread deals with the crossover fanfictions between MLP and Fallout, and they're reasonably well received within the MLP community. But if one expects that a bastion of bronies could be established and thrive on this site, they've come to the wrong place.

I believe No Mutants Allowed is the oldest surviving Fallout fan site. The primary draw, should you come here, probably should be FALLOUT first and foremost.

Everyone here seems to be complaining about Fallout Equestria, but if I'm honest, I think that since we are on NMA, we should actually be praising this. Reading through some of the descriptions, its a fallout fan-fic that actually makes references to 1 and 2, and doesn't completely ignore their existence. You only find those once in a blue moon.

And besides, a lot of Fallout Forums consider us the scum of the internet, a lot of sites consider Bronies the scum of the internet, both of us are just defending our hobbies from ignorant people. If anything, we're not too different to Bronies.
