Need Help, Jet problem (fallout 2)

maybe they only get it when its invented?

Well, I don't see anything anywhere in the scripts for either of the two merchants who sell Jet Antidote in San Francisco (Gun Merchant in Tanker & Lao Cho next to San Fran entrance). There doesn't appear to be anything in their table scripts, either.

Lao Cho, by the way, restocks every 2 to 4 days, and has the same 30% chance to have 1~3 jet antidotes (at least, I think it's 1 to 3, if I am reading the code right). He'd be the best bet.

ok, ill keep trying

EDIT: I GOT IT!!!! SWEET!!! thanks alot guys, i now have 9 action points from my previous 7

I found this thread so I won't need to create a thread myself...

I too have this problem, I'm a jet head, a dead merchant left 14 pills and that was the end of me. When I got addicted I kept on taking and taking.

Now I realised my mistake, and my guy wants to become a goody good guy again.

Problem is those 2 guys are not selling the antidote, and my character can't do that antidote quest, science and intel are quite low.

So quick question, if I sleep for 2 weeks will the merchant definitely restock?

Not necessarily, since their inventory is random. Keep waiting and they should eventually. Note that the Shi merchant restocks in just 2-4 days, so you don't need to rest for two weeks at a time.

Jet doesn't come in pill form. Buffout and Mentats do, those addictions can be slept off.

I always thought the image of Jet were pills. Then today I saw someone say "snort" or something along those lines.

Hmm right.

Anyway I've been sleeping 5 days at a time and still no antidote. I also sold him booze and after 15 days he still had the booze and $10 less in his inventory.

Aaargh!

OK, then, how about buying yourself some Big Books of Science and taking some Mentats to increase IN and Science and actually get the Antidote quest? Depends on how much of either of them you need to meet the requirements, though...

Yeah that's what I did, thanks. I finished that quest in Vault City and got a free antidote, and another antidote to give to that doctor. Problem solved.

Of course, I killed Renesco and now I can't do the Broken Hills quest, dammit. I wanted that mutant to join up with me :(
