Need NMA opinion on some Legion´s armor. Come and help me.

It's all a matter of taste, actually. I could see that you like the cool stuffs, and this explorer one looks like a ninja. What is cooler than a ninja?

But seriously dude, don't sell youself short on the cool stuff. I think you might be on to something. Ignoring the story, ignoring logic, ignoring all that other crap, those two armors look great. Strictly from a design perspective, the colors match, the models and textures don't overlap or poke through each other (any more than vanilla), the spikes, skull, glowing eyes, face wrap, and duster are all awesome, they look really convincing. The other stuff is neat and I like the ideas behind them but I'd know right away they were part of a mod. The Legate and the explorer though are on another level. Well done, man.

How 'bout "Caesar's Fist?"

The description could be: "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to his fist the things that are fisted." Short and comedic.

Or, since the bull is the symbol for the Legion, "Fury of the Bull" : "Your ferocity matches that of a bull. Those who oppose you will be trampled by your new-found strength," or some other puns involving bulls.

Yeah definitely let this guy write the perk description, I'm way too utilitarian to be creative with it.

it has been difficult to balance the cool factor with the functional factor/lore wise. And thanks for your kind words. ^^

A new attempt at Praetorian, I liked this one. Lanius's arms should belong only to him, but to do what, there is not much choice and I really wanted bulky arms, something that functions as a kind of shield as well, since they attack with these members.

ok, I have everything I need, now that I've decided to cut some armors, like the blacksmith's and the cursor's. Who care for this guys, there´s no need to be a samba school parade with different armor for each of them.

edit: oh yeah, about the perk. Fury of the Bull is a better choice, that way someone not related to the Legion can choose this perk.

I think you should change the perk icon to something else (like the bull that's on all the Caesar's Legion stuff), though it's unnecessary.

...but, really. Your explorer and Praetorian designs are great, LEAGUES above what you posted in the very first image. Have you considered using power armor arm-pieces for the Praetorian armor? I don't know if it would look as good as Lanius's arms, but it's just a thought.

Yes. T51 arms sux balls. APA too advanced. T45 is awesome, but is for Centurion.

And nothing gets better than Lanius's arms. It's my second favorite piece of armor in the game, only losing to the chestplate of the 87th Tribe's armor. That thing man.....that bull is THE SHIT. I absolutely love and had to control myself to not putting it in all the armors. Even so, I ended up using too much. Lanius, unique version of Centurion and Frumentarii. (courier too, but that one is a special case, nobody will wear it, unless at the option of the player)

talking about Frumentarii, Terminally will also like this I guess, he also screams "hey look how cool I am"

obviously that a frumentarii does not need a dedicated armor, after all they work in disguise, but I thought it would be fun to make something for them to wear in Legion territory or when they are not infiltrated (as for example, the frumentarii that is at the base of the great khans), and that it was something like a legionary version of a Gestapo uniform, all black with some colors here and there.

But yeah that new Praetorian looks way more like how I would picture an emperor's guard than vanilla or your old design. The horns might be a tad goofy but what do I know.

As for the perk, I definitely second the last one. Maybe the full description can be this?

Yep. originally it was red, I changed to yellow because Scorpion. Who does not like Scorpion? XD

Also, the horns are indeed pretty silly. Put in because you know, bull, but nhé. Gonna take it off.

One last thing to show, that I make right now and I am very proud of the result.

I really like how vanilla the armor looks like, is exactly what an armor you get for free at the beginning of the game should be. Lots of pockets for courier stuffs.

LOVED the helmet. I'm even thinking of distributing it among other members.

I put a super-hot effect on the sword, which I think is stupid. I'll change that.

the "pre order" pack have

- 1 armor. DT 8. +15 carry weight
- 1 helmet. DT 2. Critical chance +5
- 1 gladius
- 1 "legionary repeater" wich is a modified cowboy repeater
- 5 bitter drink
- 5 weapon binding ritual
- 50 .357 ammo

Powerful, but as Primm will be harder with both NCR and Powder Gang as enemies, it does not look so unfair.

Wouldn't it have been nice if they let the developers actually finish their game? Sadly seems to be a growing trend seeing as what recently happened to the Deus Ex franchise.

Starting pack looks good, at first I thought the armor effects were a bit overpowered but you do spawn pretty deep in hostile territory.

Yeah the original is great and Human Revolution is probably my second favorite game after New Vegas. I heard the new one is alright but was basically not finished and gutted for the purposes of selling DLC which is just a disgrace. This is why I'm developing my own games from now on because clearly the industry is too incompetent and greedy to do their jobs anymore.

You were correct in your initial guess. Taking a swig from a container means drinking some liquid out of it. It's usually used in reference to somebody tipping the container up in the air quickly, like how someone would take a shot of alcohol out of a flask. It is definitely the right word to use in the situation you described.

"Taking a load off" means to relax. When you want to invite somebody to sit down, especially on something comfortable like a couch, you tell them to take a load off. Not what you want in this context and highly unrelated.

'Trusty Goatskin Flask' definitely sounds better than Bighornerskin but I see where you are coming from with using a Fallout animal. Brahminskin Flask seems like a good compromise to me.

Okay, as you can see, I decided to make the perk related to Legion. If you do not have good fame with them, no deal.

I have some more planned.

1) Druid of Flagstaff or Recipes from the 87 tribes. An adaptation of a personal mod, who buy this perk, will be able to create several natural substitutes to the chemical drugs that the game has. My version of turbo is really fun to use. Instead of time dilating, the character's speed increases.

Wow, are these perks conditional based on your alliance with the Legion? If so, I think that's a pretty cool mechanic that Fallout New Vegas never utilized.

I was able to work a little bit on my mod today. I'm ... 85% satisfied. Still need to adjust a color here, change a glove there, these things and obviously do the fine tuning, with things like clipping and alpha texture.

Cobra, is this even the same mod? It looks incredible. I don't even know where to begin, but it really appears you took everyone's advice to heart. Seeing what's come out of it, I can honestly say I'm proud to have contributed to this thread.

If you keep everything in this mod as polished and interesting as these armors are shaping up to be, I would not be shocked if this becomes one of the essential mods up there in the ranks of Project Nevada and Nevada Skies. Keep up the great work man, you have made a true believer out of me.

I like everything but Lucius armour, legion does not use advanced tech, period. They shun meds, stimpaks, auto docs, most chems, laser and plasma weapons, robots and power armour.

I do not accept salvaged enclave power armour because of that.

Other than that, good stuff overall
