New animations 2

Tycho / brown pants combat armor
Will be in the next version of ettu as combat armor animations for Tycho. The set has unarmed, spear, pistol, smg, and rifle animations.

Does he have a unique power armour look? Would it be possible for him to use the Cassidy one and add the last (if missing) animations to that one?

Looks great. How many animations have you done so far? Do you just copy&paste the head or do manual tweaks etc?

I'm currently finishing animations for rifles, pistols and knives in metal armor.
I'm doing pixel edits because the head sizes are slightly different.
In some situations, editing is not necessary and simply copying is sufficient.
Also need to draw the flashes from the gunshots on the face myself, because in the original head image they are only with SMG and are very dim.
 
Nice. Big fan. If it turns out well, I could also use those for Tandi in Fo1. :D
 
I'm wondering if it's actually worth doing the rifle and pistol, etc. animations, since the base critter doesn't have those either. Sure you could enable them for party members anyways, but if they then wield any such weapons and you remove the armor from them, the game will crash due to missing animations. Might make more sense to focus on the kind of animations that she has by default.

I agree with you, but I'm making this set of animations for a mod Companion Expansion by Goat_Boy.
I use the standard brunette for Miria now, when I remove her armor, the weapon disappears from her hands when she return to the brown-haired critter, the game does not crash. (Just tested it on heavy weapons and rifles)
I think we can cheat and change the "Default=16777***" from npcarmor.ini on "fhprim" edition with new head frames.

Just out of curiosity, but were there any further updates on the Miria animations?
 
A question guys... Are the going up/down stairs animations actually used in Fallout 1? It seems all the stairs are "activated" with the magic hands anim.
 
Those animations are unused. I think most critters don't even have those anyways.
 
has most of the work in this thread been saved/backup somewhere? would be a waste if work got lost to time

Those are leftovers from a time when the engine would show all 3 elevations at once, like floors in a house for example. It was unusable because of slowness so that was ditched in favor of showing just single elevation graphics at once.
 
Hi guys I'm learning how to make critter sprites,

Here's my first attempt - a bandit from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

He has a full set of Unarmed, Knife and Pistol animations. I may add more in the future :)

Known Issues

-
The angle is slightly off and the character is on the shorter side (was too far into it before noticing).
- Run and Walking animations are a bit off, I will try to fix them in the future.


Why a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. character? Dunno, I just love the games and thought it may fit mods like Oblivion Lost.
