New animations 2

Well if some starts to do it I would suggest creating more then one at the same time I was playing around with mass producting frms (Vault doors) and found it easier to make more versions then one at the same time, though there are other ways creating recolors like saving the process file like XXXXX00000.bmp being recolored first there is a copy of the base layer where everything is masked out except the blue pixels this would be the upper layer belove that another copy (say we want different shirts) with a masking that leaves only the area we want then we save it as xxxxx00000.psd. All frame is rebuild like this then we make a script which recolor the layer we want different and saves the psd to bmp format voala next time we can make it red, blue, green... whatever we want. (In bases its quite a long work but effect is great no need to go around the frames next time just changing the script and a new char is done).

Yeah red Vault suit I was hoping someone would do this it looks cool. The others are good too .
Btw to go back my previous post I was thinking something like this

The frames of the critters are in psd format with separeted parts.
Similar to what you done X'il

I find time waste in recoloring vault jumpsuits.
I mean, where will they be used?

Would be better to recolour town-persons to give more diversity/difference between cities, IMO. I mean, the black dude is always the same in every city, for example.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. That latex pajama is the key design element of every Fallout. Without it Fallout can't be what it is. Now you'll have a chance to fill your mods with even more pajamas in different colors, so stop complain, heretics :D

I think so too. :)

Heh, then it's a waste of time to re-color any critter.... you answered your own question, where can it be used?: anywhere you want where it may fit. (For example, does all vaults have to use the same suits, does all the suits have to be the same?, can any of these variations have some use besides being in vault-city type cities?, etc).

True that :salute: (though i wouldn't call it 'the' key design element but 'a' key design element  ).

Great job with the jumpsuits, X'il! I've already found a use for all of the variations. I especially like the red one, though I agree that the grey one looks the most 'spacey' :)

Thank you for your excellent work!

How hard would be to add "10" to any overall, Mr. X'il?

Sorry if I asked before.

Just lizardously curious.

Regardless what the others say, I LOVE the brownish suit. I imagine it to be the vault suit, but worn and torn in the wastes. Great job! Assimilated it to my "mod". :P

It’s up to the people modding whether or not anything we build makes it into a Fallout game…I would prefer to see the normal blue jumpsuit redone without the number 13 on the back, that way people could build new Vaults in their mods and simply use those critters…also the citizens at both the Enclave and Vault City should have a greater range of attack skills. But I have to agree that there needs to be a better focus on the secondary critters – the town folk.

a small queston about the new jumpsuits, do they have all the animations by any chance?

No - just the basic stuff - no rifle, minigun, SMG, etc...

What about a black and white Vault suit – it looks pretty stylish, but unfortunately it can’t be batched with the replace color action…it must be built one frame at a time.

Yeah, you've asked before, and yes it would be very 'hard' (time-consuming) to make such a thing look good, perhaps some time in the future.

Yeah, check out this one: --- --- A little bit like the colors on that van buren suit thingy (just 'playing around')

But yeah, one frame at a time... which also applies to most of this too:

There's little to none that could be automated with the peasant critters (the good looking ones, not the FO2-only 'stiff-types') :|

The only good thing about rebuilding the Town folk is that they have fewer frames than the player characters…but it’s sure to generate some interesting critters. Maybe someone can start editing just single frames to see what the possibilities are.

These guys are the basic critters (generally un-armored) – a couple of them are the doofuses built for Fallout 2.

Some of them look fairly generic, you could make a fair few more variation of characters from the old Fallout ones, for example the black guy and the farmer model (white male in the green top.)

The problem I found with alot of the cities in Fallout 2 was the towns folk all looked the same, a little bit of variation here and there would be alright.

I would love to see the loser critter (the typical Den addicts) rebuilt with a gun and knife animation…
