Man, here you can clearly see how wrong are fo2 critters...

I would love to see the loser critter (the typical Den addicts) rebuilt with a gun and knife animation…

I've been playing around with recolouring this critter some time ago. I'd also like to add him at least one weapon. So if I succeed, I'll pass it on to the community (both the recoloured and the regular version).

Still, this may take me a while - I'm not very systematic with this.

I can this critter with a knife but perhaps not a gun. Definitely would make pissing off an addict more dangerous.

I thought I might throw an idea out there and see what reaction it receives…how about we remove the magazine from the SMG and use the edited animation for the 14mm and .223 pistol (they are much larger handguns). As is they use the SMG animation, which seems wrong. I made a quick mockup with Mr. Baldie…

I think I like this for big badass pistols. But such thing means another x*y numbers of frames that needs to be edited for normal, bald, longhair, leather armor mk2, combat armor color z and robe color z2 critters. And everything else that follows and shall become a new player critter.

/Edit: And every other critter that can use SMG and is using 14mm pistols, etc. in the game.

Wasn't there a limit to frm types I mean XXXXAA, AB....
Btw I found something interesting or at least for me it was but there is a chance that someone had already done it better, I found a death anim for fallout 1 oversees and a female oversees char

Nice stuff, Jotisz. :)

Here's a 'fix' for the FO2-only stiff-type critters to make them walk a bit faster and more in tune with the rest of the original critters. I had already made this for the robot, but now it's done for all.

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

(Most of those critters are fugly and out-of-place of course, but since they're there, why not at least fix this little detail about them, right?)

Very nice. I think this is going in the RP.

I think only the robot, Lynette, boxer don't have the running anims. (correct me if I'm wrong) And from them I guess only Lynette would need one.

At least a few of them have running animations. But... walking animations are looking better...

Thanks for the comments.

Why the never built a running animation for those critters...it’s inexplicable. :wtf:

My guess would be time constraints, i mean, some of them lack kick animations as well and a lot of them don't have various types of death animations either; some are missing the plasma meltdown, others the ripped-to-pieces, etc, etc.

Only complete removal could help them, I'm afraid. Also, I think that taking inspiration from here could produce quite good NPCs. Of course, models should be re-detailed (aka simplified), otherwise they could not fit into the shitty pants art style. Just a thought...

Just to keep the people informed...Mr. Baldie Jumpsuit is complete… :P

@X'il - what's the naming convention for this critter.

Amazing job! There are no details spared with you

So, just a quick question... could you help me learn your Baldie masking-awesome critter actions? I think they would save a lot of time with miss red-head.
