Got this in the mail;
Aftermath (www.aftermathrpg.com), a new site for post apocalyptic gaming discussion has opened and will feature original articles from roleplaying game designers who have worked in this genre, including Owen K. C. Stephens, Eric Cagle, Tim Willard, and Darrin Drader. The site is now open and we're inviting you to come check it out.
Link: Aftermath

I'm impressed. The site looks really well done and they've got some good discussion mainly with P&P roleplaying.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

I don't know. To me it doesn't have the grim and grittiness of the post apocalyptic world setting of the actual original PNP game Aftermath! or the original Twilight2000, or even of the First Edition Gamma World! Fallout the First one for that matter or the Wasteland!

I am not surprised at the quality of the website since it's probably seeded with the money from the Wizards Of The Coast. Not to knock the contents of the website or the people writing for it. They COULD have opened a forum dedicated to the actual Aftermath! and the other old school cold war driven post-nuke stuff. I am not sure how much support it would have gathered, but it would have been the cooler thing to do rather than mention the old Aftermath! and then say that the site has nothing to do with it.

To those who follow the PNP driven D&D, I don't like the direction in which the Wizards of the Coast took the game or the bright and fluffy markting driven positive spin the company put on the game's latest edition to sell it to adolescents.

Having said that, I will watch the site with interests to see what new ideas about the post apocalyptic role-playing they will put out.

My only question is why can't NMA get those same individuals that Aftermath is getting for featured articles.

Because those guys have nothing whatsoever to do with Fallout?
