Aye, I set it up ages ago planning to do more with it once big news started rolling again. The gap between the last Fallout 3 DLC and New Vegas was basically filled with nothing of interest, just a lot of Bethesda v Interplay tidbits.

What is the canon ending for NCR in FO2? Is there even such a thing yet?

As Ausir said, there's more than one possible ending for NCR, and there has been no sequel to tag one canon (unlike Fallout, which has several things determined by the Fallout 2 manual). In each ending it still exists and in most endings it's still expands, if sometimes slower, so anything's possible.
