If you guys are looking for good fantasy sites, I like The Shark Pool on Footballguys.com for general information, and Fantsy Football Calculator for mock draft info.

are you going to play with us this time, you big pussy? no seriously. c'mon. you're one of the main NFL guys here.

p.s. i guarantee Kharn's not putting more effort into this than reinstating last years league. let's just be content with Yahoo, ai'aight?

How many of you fuckers am I going to whup ass on this year? I'd like a little more competition this time please.

ps - Thanks for linking me to this thread Sander, that was mighty white of ya. I'd forgotten all about this league.

Come hither, my children, you're all invited. If you didn't get the invite;
leaguename: nomutantsallowed
league ID: 344397
password: how2refuelcar
Note what team you're registering because I'll kick out unidentified teams

Roster
Roster Positions: QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/T, W/R, K, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN

6 benches should be enough. One idea might be to replace W/T and W/R with two W/T/R positions, giving more flex freedom.

Current rules (this should all go in post 1 but sadly that's a Twinks post and I'm not touching those)
Offense
Passing Yards 40 yards per point; 2 points at 200 yards; 1 points at 275 yards; 1 points at 350 yards
Passing Touchdowns 4
Interceptions -1
Rushing Yards 20 yards per point; 2 points at 100 yards; 1 points at 150 yards; 1 points at 200 yards
Rushing Touchdowns 6
Receptions .5
Reception Yards 30 yards per point; 2 points at 100 yards; 1 points at 150 yards; 1 points at 200 yards
Reception Touchdowns 6
Return Yards 50 yards per point; 2 points at 150 yards; 1 points at 225 yards
Return Touchdowns 6
2-Point Conversions 2
Fumbles -.5
Fumbles Lost -2
Offensive Fumble Return TD 6
Kickers (wish they'd include punters too)
Field Goals 0-19 Yards 3
Field Goals 20-29 Yards 3
Field Goals 30-39 Yards 3
Field Goals 40-49 Yards 4
Field Goals 50+ Yards 5
Field Goals Missed 0-19 Yards -2
Field Goals Missed 20-29 Yards -1
Point After Attempt Made 1
Point After Attempt Missed -1
Defense
Sack 1
Interception 2
Fumble Recovery 2
Touchdown 6
Safety 2
Block Kick 2
Points Allowed 0 points 10
Points Allowed 1-6 points 7
Points Allowed 7-13 points 4
Points Allowed 14-20 points 1
Points Allowed 21-27 points 0
Points Allowed 28-34 points -1
Points Allowed 35+ points -4

We differ from Standard Yahoo on a few points, most noticeably negative points for missed FGs/PATs, and tweaked points making receivers slightly more valuable, and incorporating individual returns #s. Suggestions are welcome, but this worked well last year, I think.

Does this have a max? Because it doesn't make any sense that you could have more than two guys racking up return yards.

Autodraft?

Sense, no? Can't limit it, tho'. But I don't think anybody will. Reception points are so low that the only thing you could do is sub in one of the Pro Bowl return men for a WR3, as a rule. Most teams won't carry more than one return man anyway.

's.

It's not written in stone, but live draft is a pain in the ass to plan, especially with multiple European players, not to mention I'm away from home from the 12th, so not easily available a full day.

I don't know. The problem to me is that real time draft can take a butt load of time and we definitely would have a heckuva time scheduling it with all our timezones.

They don't give you any leeway on scheduling it?

You can schedule it whenever you want, that's not the problem, the problem is getting 8-10 people together at the same time spread over up to 10 hours of timezones is hell.

And indeed, it can take a few hours total.

It also seriously decreases the accessibility of the league.

But dunno, time scheduling wouldn't be much of an issue for me at least (I have nothing to do, like ever) , and me and BN here are likely to be the only non-Americans.

I can live with it either way, in a way it saves me doing a lot of homework, and I'd probably defer to autopicking after the first 8 rounds anyway.

i'm up for either. admittedly live draft is way more exciting, though i know it stresses some people out too much.

(didn't DB get all stressed last year at Asshats? hahaha. a few people were getting pissed. or was it Eom? also...lulz that Eom's team just turned geriatric immediately. ooops! cross-site trolling! noes!)

It was Deebs who freaked. You can tell by his selections:
1. (1) Randy Moss
2. (24) Wes Welker
3. (25) Donald Driver
4. (48) Reggie Bush
5. (49) Edgerrin James
6. (72) Matt Hasselbeck
7. (73) Tony Gonzalez

I mean...owtch.

Bah, I vote against live draft. So much. Unless we hold it before the 12th. Which would be stupid.

That was only a severe ouch because of the tragedy of Tom Brady - otherwise, it would have been a much better season.

The dammitmilkers are in...

hey that's ok. Ryan Grant's second half of 07 being 2nd best in NFL had me convinced he'd be even better the next year and i knew nobody'd even think of him for the first round.

what a waste of a strategy that turned out to be.

:/
