NMA: indirect Fallout 3 Q&A

Thanks for the info, Bartoneus. :)

Just curious; does anyone else find it a bit weird/annoying that the Brotherhood of Steel are now benevolent, helpful good guys? I kind of liked the bizarre techno-cult thing they had going on in the first game, made me want to find out more about them. I mean, the first two encounters I had with them were "Get off Brotherhood territory!" and "Hay, go to this radiated area and die, lol!". I know it's Bethesda and I know it's the East Coast, but I hope they don't change them completely (even though I probably won't buy it anyway). 8-)

It seems to have been the goal of every developer after Black Isle to critically misunderstand the role of the Brotherhood of Steel. Tactics did this. BoS did this. And now Fallout 3 is doing it.

BIS guys tried to make the BOS as different as they could from the stereotype of the knights in shining armor but at the same time made the mistake of actually calling them paladins and knights and whatnot.

Being isolationists works in the universe of Fallout because the usual ideology of knighthood have no place in a post nuclear wasteland.

Also, Vault 69er, you have the best sig pictures ever.

They have paladins! They're the knights of the wasteland! They're Lawful Good!

Agreed. The Childkiller one should be uploaded to the gallery.

Thanks for the praise, guys. I'll see about uploading the large version. :P

Good job Vault 69er, if you make a large copy of this one, it would be a splendid addition to our Fan Art gallery as well.
