No Fallout 4 at GamesCom

Crushing the dreams of fans of Fallout 3 around the world, Pete Hines tweeted that Fallout 4 is not going to be seen at GamesCom:

@DCDeacon So Bethesda are on a list for Gamescon, apparently its an action-adventure RPG. I wonder what it could be?

Yet IGN will probably end up writing 50 articles guessing that Fallout 4 is going to be at Gamescom even though Bethesda said it wasn't.

(Note: they did a ton of articles about Fallout 4 even though Pete Hines had said it would be a while before they showed their next game. but IGN needed that clickbait anyway so they ignored it.)

Well, i am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that people keep pestering about Fallout 4. That or he is a huge fan of 1 and 2 and is doing his best to keep number 4 down. :V

I'm sure it can be annoying and aggravating to keep being asked about when Fallout 4 is going to be revealed, tho.
 
It will be revealed when it's mostly done so early criticism will have no effect.
 
I get the sense that he is irritated at being constantly asked about it, so it's sort of understandable. Twitter is not the most diplomatic means of breaking news, for sure. People just say things without thinking about them very much.
 
Eh, he might be annoyed in that instance and he might just be factual. Difficult to tell from that tweet. Either way, I appreciate that at least we're being told in advance there won't be any announcements.

Indeed, means we don't have to really waste time on rumors and speculation about Fallout 4 will be all about or what well be in it. Should any of that appear on the internet we can safely assume it is just plain fan wank.

Can understand that Hines maybe annoyed that when Bethesda plans to announce a new project he gets loads of questions if it is a new Fallout for example.
 
I don't think Bethesda will reveal the next game, they've given up on talking with the Fallout community since all they ever get is trolled and flamed.

For example I was on the Bethesda forum where an employee was asking what they would like to see in the next Fallout, and even there, half the answers were like "Bethesda sucks, Please let Obsidian do Fallout 4!"

Honestly if I was them I wouldn't care anymore about teasers and announcements.
 
Ahah, even if some of the devs got annoyed at those kind of messages, it would be incredibly stupid to drop a proper PR campaign for the title because of that. Bethesda's PR department isn't stupid, and the BGS guys have been pretty upfront about wanting to do more than one Fallout game. Give it time, it'll happen. And we'll complain about it ;)
