Without wanting to poop anybody's party, I'll be on-topic.
I enjoyed Diablo for it's pure meaninglessness, and a cyberpunk setting would probably fit the hack 'n' slash (or whatever it's equivalent may be as the game focuses on firing guns more than hacking and slashing) genre well. In other words, I may give it a try it if the reviews are good and I'm in need of a time-killer.
By the way, as far as I remember, the only element in Diablo that one would find in RPGs, was that the player leveled up every now and then.
