Nuclear Union gameplay details

But best title ever!
RPGWatch has a preview for 1C/Best Way's post-apoc RPG Nuclear Union, which includes a few scant details about the title's gameplay. Here's a snip:
Besides the gravitational anomaly there will be several other types of anomalies like invisible labyrinths that can kill the hero if he touches the walls, a sequence of flames appearing from the ground and more. Not all anomalies can be interacted with in the same way - for example, to pass through the invisible labyrinth the player needs to use a special device that makes the walls visible for a very short period of time.

In some cases, you’ll need to cope with anomalies to proceed in the story, but some of them will be optional and will protect nice artifacts that provide a bonus or can be used as a weapon.

There is nothing that could be told about the system that takes care of stats or skills or what options might be available when you level up as that is still under design. Also, the combat system is still under development, but it will be using a real-time system with the option to pause, called ‘GATS’. In this mode the player can queue several shots and then watch the hero executing the order.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but the bolded part reminds me of something.

I would like to get to know the designer of this who thought this would be a fun thing to do. Ofcourse I haven't seen it in action yet but this sounds majorly annoying.

Read the whole thing. The anomaly stuff actually sounds pretty nifty, the highest potential this game has for standing out. Sounds pretty weak and overdone otherwise.

Even with this device mentionend, I find such parts in games annoying. :P The other anomalies sound ok, these things were what I really liked in STALKER.

And yeah, the "GATS" is pretty facepalm worthy.

So, how would you go through an invisible Labyrinth that kills you if you touch the walls?

GATS - at least come up with a different sounding acronym if you're ripping someone off. Retarded beyond belief. I piss on this game.

So where is Bethsofts lawyers now? I mean... Elder Scrolls vs. Scrolls? This is way more obvious.

I just happened to watch Stargate SG1 10th season last week and there was this thing with the invisible labyrinth, that freezes you in slow time flow if you touch the walls. The funny thing is before they figured the obvious solution to just throw rocks thet freeze in the air if they hit a wall, they tried the hi-tec solution of checking energy readings and such stuff...
