In an interesting case of fanfic creators meeting their "heroes", Zack Finrock and Vince Talenti of Nuka Break's fame got interviewed by The Game Creators Vault together with Fallout 1's Tim Cain and Fallout 2/New Vegas' Chris Avellone, both from Obsidian Entertainment. Without further ado, here's the video interview:

So awesome to watch Tim Cain and MCA sitting at the same table at Obsidian, talking about Fallout. Oh god, Bethesda, make it happen!

Not in the slightest interested in this Nuka Break stuff, is the rest worth having to endure or is it just the simple fact Cain/MCA are sitting there that it's worth to watch?

I really enjoy the Nuka Break series, kudos to them for making it. Part one is mostly about the series and 2 is more questions for MCA and Tim.

I find it funny watching MCA, Tim etc in videos now vs how it was when I was posting news and running NMA.. Ah the old days of up hills and snow...

Work for hundreds and hundreds of hours to build your skills and improve yourself and try to contribute something positively to the word? Fuck you, if you don't have a "witty" Internet video series you can kiss your employment goodbye.

    Wha?

From watching the first part of the interview, you'd imagine the only games they'd played were Fallout 3 and New Vegas. New Reno does get a mention in the third episode of the series, of which I found was a much higher quality than I had assumed(better than a lot of SyFy movies I've had that misfortune to flip through).
Still need to watch the second part of the interview. The interviewer kinda annoys me by interjecting his own views but whatevs.

If only MCA was gay, Tim and he would be the Dream Couple.

Anyway, really horrible interviewers. Still interesting answers in between the rambling, directionless questions. Great way to waste an opportunity tho', asking about AAA visuals on Xbox 360 and PS3 to MCA and Tim Cain? Yeah. Useful.

    Indeed. Huh?

That was horrible interview, but it was still awesome seeing MCA and Tim in the same room, working for the same company. Just so awesome.

Hey BN, how about getting invited to Obsidian and making interview with MCA, Tim and JE Sawyer yourself? Now that I would love to see :) .

Nuka Break is surprisingly good, really kudos, who would have thought.

I have an upcoming interview with MCA, but not here, obviously. We can try talking to Obsidian again in a while but not while they're still working for Bethesda obviously.

Also, I prefer email interviews to face-to-face.

Yeah, email interviews are better. Especially when you take geography into the equation. Brilliant avatar by the way.

Why can't you talk to Obsidian while they work for Bethesda?

Bethesda is probably very meh about interviews, when they come from fan sites. It's pretty annoying.

I'm a little confused as to why they interviewed Tim Cain and MCA with the Nuka Break guys. Didn't really seem like there was much overlap in the questions there.

Obviously Tim Cain know what he set out to do more than me but I'm a little confused by everyone's comments about how hilarious Fallout apparently is. Fallout 2 yeah and the new Fallouts definitely don't take themselves seriously either. But am I the only one who apparently completely missed the humor in Fallout 1? Sure there were jokes here and there but I didn't really find it a comical game.
