belgium is at 214 murders and manslaughter per year. which comes down to 0.02 murders per 1000 inhabitants in the list.

note the "and manslaughter" bit... it's important as i'm sure definitions vary WILDLY in that list. nearly each country has different ways of counting crime statistics.

in belgium some vehicle accidents will get labeled as manslaughter for instance (even if there was no intent to cause harm), thus inflating the stats.
