My computer is just above the minimum requirements. I thought my rig would be ok for about 2 more years :(

You think FAllout 3 would be finished in 2 years? Hrmm I don't know, guess time will tell.

No i don't think it will be finished in 2 years (although end of 2007 could be a possibility). I am just hoping I don't have to buy a new comp to play any new games for the next 2 years.

Thank god for that. I should get some decent FPS at okay setting with my 6800gt and 3000 venice. I realise many of you dislike Elder Scrolls games, but i am seriously looking forward to this!

They could take some times to polish the game engine before use it to make FO3... (IF it is used)
There's an interview with Pete Hines in the latest PC Zone (UK March Issue), the last question was how was Fallout 3 coming along. His answer was that they have a lot of people working on it and so far it's looking really good. Is that good news or bad?

I do have those specs currently, which could be good, as Fallout is the only game that I would by a new graphics card for. But of course they might change.

Making progress are they? That could mean anything. I hold the opinion that the Bethesda people really do put a lot of care into things, even if they might be lacking in brain power, so I don't think they would rush.

Let's us hope there's a demo... thought it's time for me to get a new comp...

They might put alot of care into things, but they certainly wont *by sheer egotistical power - if todd is anything to go by* listen to the fans of Fallout on how it might be shaped.

It's neither. Pete Hines might as well say "a purple cow leapt over the moon", it's just a pr-answer, void of all meaning.

Possibly, but no gaming company that's ever going to put out anything worth playing is going to listen to the fans over their own instincts and ideas. That's what makes them game developers and us fans. Take a look at any game that's been made with "tons of fan input" and see what a piece of shit it is for an example. The only way we are going to have any influence on Fallout 3 is by presenting really well thought out ideas and arguments that can make the devs re-think their own ideas and possibly incorporate or include them over their own. Anything else isn't going to be taken seriously and at best will just result in an "easter egg" of some kind, most likely at our expense, especially if all we have to offer as a site is pessimism and jabs at Bethesda employees.

Yeah, well, you can usually count on the fact that recommended requirements are actually the minimum requirements and that minimum requirements have accidentally been copied from a ten year old game FAQ.

Uh-uh. I loved Daggerfall, but everything about this Oblivion abomination screams overhyped dumbed-down console crap. Gothic III is likely going to be everything Oblivion should have been.

People have been 'seducted' by this game's visual, IMO. I don't care visual, gameplay is still the king.

Yes, and you appear to be one of those people:

I actually want to see F3 in 3D first-person. If you have seen the Oblivion gameplay movie, u know how powerful the 3D-engine can be. Photo-realistic (well, almost) enviroment especially the jungle scene.

Right I admit it, FO3 in FPS scene is not a good idea at all. I just finished replay Fallout and Fallout 2 and shocked when seeing Van Burens' concept screen-shots. "3D isometric-view' might be okie.

I still stand still for the 'moddable' part.

Wow, you will need quite a machine to play that game
Are you sure there isn't an option between using directx 7.0 and 9.0, like most games do.
Because not many people have such a powerful pc.
