I don't see the dichotomy here. To me this seems [loosely] akin to disparaging too few hours annually from a part-time, or even a summer job—that's what they are designed to be. If someone hires a person to sweep the outside of a gas station —that's not something to pay rent with—that's beer money, or money to pay for a text-book. Artificially making these jobs pay more than they are worth to the employer is detrimental to both the employer and the employees, as the employer will append or consolidate the available jobs [to make it be worth the money to them].

*Sure, McJobs can be a full shift for most of the week, but these McJobs should be low entry enough to be a teenager's first job—not to be competing with experienced staffers (with kids and a mortgage) who long before then should have moved on to better paying jobs, or to have become upper management at those places.

Dinosaurs are routinely poached from the field - and while researchers value ANY new taxon, the black market + legal auction world only values *pristine and complete* specimens of *unknown species*
this means - at this point - there are countless PERFECT dinosaur fossils held in PRIVATE collections, where the entire point, allure, price-tag - everything - depends on the specimen *remaining* mysterious, pristine and unknown.
    It's a nightmare.

If capitalism is so awesome, how comes there are so few (if any) capitalist cartoons promoting capitalism and completely free market enterprise? It's almost like capitalism requires qualities and characteristics that we really do NOT want to teach our children.

Yeah. And because working in fast food joints is designed to be mainly summer/stundent jobs they are exclusively created on work hour times where mostly full employment is what you see there. What's next? Claiming that Wallmart employees qualifing for food stamps is clever use of social systems?

Next Time Someone Says Fast Food Isn't A Real Job, Remember This | HuffPost Impact

The majority of fast food workers aren't teenagers, but real adults with real responsibilities.
Opponents of raising wages for fast food workers often say that those jobs are mostly for teenagers living with their parents who are just looking for some extra spending money. But that's not true anymore.

Increasingly, fast food jobs are being filled by adults who need full-time work. According to an analysis of government data by the Center for Economic and Policy Research, 70 percent of fast-food workers are 20 or older these days.

You know what you have with the fast food industry? A heavily "subsidised" one.

Such as? Like did it promote a capitalist/free liberal government-bad message here? Or was it really just "whacky" shit for fun and giggles? I watched Loony Toons as a kid. And there was barely any message in it at all. Outside of ... whacky shit. I mean you do remember that the show had a very ironic/sarcastic undertone to almost everything, right? That's like saying Space Invader Zim promoted space exploration.

That's the problem that needs the fix. It's oh so tempting to quip, "But real adults should get real jobs...", but we know that McJobs are often a lot of work... Still would you advocate a living wage for ticket-stub takers at movie theaters? That's a job, you have to show up, and tear the tickets... but as before, that's a teenager's first job and possibly a senior's last job, but that's not the makings of a mid life career, nor a reliable means to supporting a house, and family—and it shouldn't be.

*To put it in another light, it's like pro footballers electing to occupy positions on college teams, or worse... NBA pros commanding school yard basket ball courts.

Yes. - Which is also funny that you show those particular clips as those "capitalist" themes are represented as light harted jokes. Silvester rolling around in money (Silvester ... of all characters who's well known as being greedy and evil). Or the comment "Eh, that's mass consumption". Those are also cartoons from the 50s by he way. Besides, there is no issue with the idea of free enterprises. Free enterprise is a good thing. And that is what those cartoons basically promote. And is not necessarily only a capitalist trait only.
What I am talking about, is well capitalist virtues. High promotion of Self-interest, egoism, destroying of competition, monopilisation and oligopoly, privatisation of crucial infrastructure, greed, generating of profits, no matter the circumstances or consequences, no regulations and so on. The kind of ideas and principles as how they have been promoted by Thatcher, Reagan, Friedman and many others. Like weaking of worker rights and dismissing of enviroment protection. I don't remember the Looney Toons really advocating for that to be a great virtue.

But then there is also the underlying message or "tone" cartoons display. Like what kind of problem sloving they apply when the characters are faced with dire situations. Think about GI. Joe, Rugrats, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales just to name a few. The message does not come from the "humor" usually which is the "Whacky shit". It comes from the part where it becomes serious. You don't get a lot of "Punisher" type of cartoons marketed for children for example where the "heroes" kill the enemy. For obvious reasons - I hope.

I mean honestly, would you educate your children to become like the managers of Texas Oil or act like they are runing a big corporation? Are those qualities they should display and teach in Kindergarden?

    Yes I would. Why not?

I don't know how movie theaters are run in the US. But usually the people that work there, are still paid minimum wages. And they usually don't only take care of tickets. They do a lot of other stuff as well.

The the reason why I want people to be paid fair wages is because I sometimes actually go and enjoy those services. And I want it to be a good service. Not a half assed shitty thing done by a bored dude who hates doing it. And for that to happen, they need decent pay. Not as much as an engineer or brain surgeon (which often don't earn as well as people think) but also not with wages bellow the poverty line.

    Why?

There is no such thing as "endless growth". What is wrong with tearing tickets, cleaning floors, or flipping burgers in a fast food joint for 30 years?

They can "consider" a lot of things. What ever if they actually can do it is a whole different question. I am not an expert on Switzerland, but I assume they have a constitution and laws similar to the rest of the European countries. Which means, you can not jail or criminalise people for heating their homes too much.

Yes. Because as long as you’re living, you’re growing. Don’t ever stop growing.

Should you be saying there is no hope for growth to a world struggling with mental illness? That all they will amount to, their purpose in life is to tear ticket stubs?

    No.
