ok, so how do we make FO3 more "falloutesque"

Sorry for the bad english

I read this topic and have not see a idea for real cripled arms, a shooted a super mutant carryng a missile launcher until the arms were crippled, well, he dropped the weapon just to take it back after a couple seconds!

With one crippled arm you ain't allowed to use 2 handed weapons.
With two, you can't use a gun.

I would like to see larger towns. When I first saw Megaton I thought wow this is cool I can't wait to see what the other cities are like.... yeah....

It just seems lacking. I would love to see a new version of New Reno or what have you. The game just feels too small and barren.

Also the towns you can go to have like 3 people and maybe one 5 sec quest to do.

Basically I would love to see more content.

[Request] A mod that makes FO3 more of a Fallout

Well, I just finished FO3, and after reading through the many somewhat negative posts on here, I felt like posting more of a "solution" than a "complaint".

FO3 is a good game, but not a "Good Fallout". I think most people can agree to that. So I thought, hey, why not make a list of some changes that people could mod in to make FO3 more "Fallout"? Here are a few areas I thought should be easy enough to mod once the developer kit gets released.

My Fallout 3 List of things that should be fixed:

SPECIAL -

Honestly, Beth dropped the ball here. For some reason they felt that it was smart to take functionality out of each stat. Some examples:

Strength - No longer a requirement for weapons!

Perception - Does NOT affect ranged modifiers from what I can tell. (Nowhere near how it did in FO1,2 or FOT)

Charisma - We don't have more than one NPC. Whats the point of this again? :(

Luck - Seems to not make as much of a difference. Where are my critical failures?!

Skills - (In no particular order)

Tag skills, skill caps, and level cap - I would love to see a mod that lifted the skill and level caps, reverted tag to its FO1,2 days, and lastly, found ways to implement skills over 100. Bethesda is very fond of putting hard caps on skill usefulness at 100 (see: Morrowind, Oblivion etc.). Hopefully when they release the kit for mod developers we find 150 Small Guns actually ups accuracy in vats for long range! I think the big replay draw to FO1&2 was that it was VERY HARD to master EVERY skill on one character. My FIRST play through FO3 I had several skills at 100. I wont put any spoilers in here, but one word: LOLBobbleheads

Medical (First Aid / Doctor) - Unlink Stimpacks from Medical and give us doctor bags / first aid kits that eat game clock time when we use them. I kinda liked the idea that this skill was supposed to be a "way to save on stims". Now its just "a way to make stims better"

Energy Weapons - Pulse weapons? I miss them :(

Big Guns - LOL MINIGUN! Str reqs and MORE damage please!

Small Guns - I would love to see some of the FO2 variety thrown back in. Gauss weapons anyone?

Last, for now anyway:

Karma Perks. What happened to them? I want my porn star, sexpert, giggalo, expert excriment expediator damnit! Maybe even a dash of Child Killer for those moments "Wittle Wamp Wight" ticks me off and I wanna take the "Wazer Wifle" and "Waporize" the place.

And addressing the item description we would all want to see more of. I found these nifty little mods on Nexus.

^^this one adds small descriptions without needing aditional mods to work properly^^

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2896

^^That one has more description if you really want it, but I believe it requires the Larger Interface Mod to work, im not certain though.

There's one more thing id like to add. There is a download on Nexus, that allows anyone who wants to do this to change and edit Pip-Boy descriptions. So anyone can make there own!
