OXM outtakes hit blog

Remove the rose coloured glasses folks

Well in my case it's not that, I spent the last nine years going through all the limitations of the Classic Fallout RPGs, but I really liked to Sneak in those games.

And Bethsoft doesn't need to improve the system, they have to come up with an entire different system, because of the changes on the point of view and greater reliance on player skill. That's what they are doing, hope they succeed, in Oblivion it was bit hit and miss.

I loved when, in oblivion, I'd sneak kill all my enemies by standing far far away with my bow hitting them like a houndred times before they died, and they kept going "who's there" and "it must have been the wind" while i kept hitting them in their asses (best place to aim at) for hours and hours of pure fun. I'd spent entire evenings clearing a single dungeon using this method. It was the only method I'd be able to use anyway... I always play with full difficulty and my character was maxed out and enemies would still kill me with three hits... Funniest fun i've ever played, i tell you.

While I agree that there were many thing in Oblivion that were simply moronic, we should always keep in mind that most (if not all) games have bugs / glitches that can be exploited.

FO2 had some glitches (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY4etI10OsY) easily exploited.

If you chose to simply clear dungeons using a known bug (although, Beth's beta testers should have clued in to this) that's up to you.

Well if you dislike how little damage you do and how much damage the enemy does, you might want to not put the difficulty slider at "I do 1/6 damage and enemies do 6x damage".

Your sneaking scenario makes no sense because enemies in Oblivion are magically alerted to your exact location the instant your weapon makes contact with them without leaving them a cold lifeless corpse.

Stop lying!

I usually play a thief in fallout 1 & 2, I used sneak quite a bit in both games with moderate success. The sneak in Tactics was way better.

They all sound better than Fallout 3.
