I hope that it was sleep paralysis. It was the most terrifying feeling I've ever had, because I hate to be held down or restrained so it really freaked me out.

As for the voices, I don't think I have schizophrenia. How do you tell if you do?
 
I can almost guarantee that it was just sleep paralysis. Your description is exactly in line with the the formal definition of it, and my personal experiences with it.

Furthermore, you don't have scizophrenia. First of all, someone suffering from scizophrenia would not be here, considering the possibility of even having schizophrenia. Plus there are many other things you'd be exibiting if such was the case. If you're curious about the disease however, feel free to look at the diagnostic criteria for yourself.

still pretty crazy to see the rain not move from the exact same spot for 2 hours ^^

So I have tinnitus (somewhat mild), hypnogogia and sleep paralysis...

That would explain the time I woke up, couldn't move and felt "something" sifting through my memories uncontrollably since childhood while lights flashed in my eyelids and I heard weird sounds.

After about ten minutes I was able to summon the willpower to force my muscles to move, and it felt like the hardest thing I had ever done.
 
might just be some nerval/muscle disease. not so uncommon. sometimes my friend gets a virus outbreak on his balance nerv(don't know if thats the right name for it in english) which makes him unable to, well, balance his body.

so, maybe the whole deal is about some virus breaking down your nerval system. just wait it out :roll:
