Pete explains

I want to thank this website and all the people posting at the Elder scroll forums.... maybe Bethesda will make a Fallout 3 we can be proud of.
I hope the dev's listen to the fans and stay true.

well i hope for that too but just in case im gona be ready for a fallout with magic and swords

OMG LOL!1

Hmph. Somehow, I find it a bit weird that a company that was after the license six months didn't have an idea about the game they wanted to create, and still hasn't settled down some primary, fundamental game mechanics.

Because if they didn't get the license they would've wasted all that Creativity Time. Its kinda depressing when you get all excited about the work you're going to do and then somebody steps in and says, "Srry d00dz, know werk 4 u."

I think J.E. probably has something to say about that.

If Bethseda was smart, they'd hire J. E. Sawyer, because that's the only Fallout-guru they really have a shot at hiring.

Not exactly correct..

That just goes to show how hard it is to settle someting, especially this big and important as this, for all we know they could have had for example a engine in mind but they weren't able to obtain it, and to announce something and not live up to it is far worse, then to let the people in the dark for a while.

Another 2 things which will most likely cause news to be delayed for a long time is that
1) They first want the entire game as planned as possible, so they are as sure as possibly can be that they won't run into to many tricky situations
2) If they are going to announce it people will want proof of what they are doing, if they would post 'Yeah were doing isometric', people will go like " yeah but what kind of isometric?"
So I think they really want something to show

offtopic : is it safe for me to post here, or is Kharn gonna run KGB like operations from Russia :P?

but would be nice tho if they would hire people like J.E. to help on F3

would be even nicer if the sell the Fallout and special licence troika
we won't see that happening tho............

You are already on a death list, so enjoy the time you've got at your leisure. :P

That was probably the most erotic post on NMA.

And I don't know about anybody else, but I'm sick and tired of "I was misquoted". This is a copout PC line of BS thrown out when the public doesn't eat your shit and call it ice cream. 89% of misquotes turn out to be nothing of the sort. And his "clarification" was minor semantic jabbering and more PC backpeddling.

Somone give this guy a spine.

The fact that they don't want to piss off us hardcore fans is slightly heartening, though of course this is outweighed by the fact they don't seem interested in pleasing us that much either.
As for Darque's erotic posts, you should see the pictures she's sent me.

Pics ?

Do tell, teatime, do tell :P

And with luck, it'll sink in that they need to please us to have a chance of making profit.

Are we still talking about Fallout 3 or Darque's erotic pics? :lalala:

are straining my nads.

On a different topic altogether, I got my hands on Silent Storm last thursday. The way that game portrays combat is just the kind of engine I would adore seeing on Fallout 3. It has a 3rd Person, rotatable camera., turn based combat (hell, I know I may catch fire for this but AFAIAC THE ENTIRE COMBAT SYSTEM of Silent Storm should be in Fallout 3) and finally, the game features destroyable environment: wanna use mines? Just be sure you don't take the damn house where your sniper is perched on.

Aah... I was making up the bit about the pictures. Nothing to see here. Nothing at all. Really. Move along. I'm not sharing them. Them? There's nothing to share. Next topic. Ahaha.

I should keep this sort of stuff for mistress lair I guess, their entire forum is based around talk like this.

And playing Silent storm (and toee), just shows me how mcuh turn based combat completely pwns real time. There's just no comparison. Combat is boring and a chore in real time, but turn based games like ToEE and Silent Storm make it fun.

Silent storm is one work of love, i think since so many FO mods are popping around someone should try to do one using silent storm (seeing as how 3D models are much easier to work with, besides the engine being better all around).

ToEE on the other hand, had pretty good combat, sadly the d20 system isn't exactly great for Computer games, or else it would have been great, i'm sure.
