Hasn't it occurred to you that astronomers might already have found one and know it's on it's way? I doubt they would leak it to the public. They're probably building vaults for themselves and their families.

If it's really that terrible, you're not just going to build a secret bunker in your basement and sit it out. I doubt they'd be able to keep it silent for long, there are way, way too many amateur astronomers with pro-grade equpiment that are actively looking for these things because they know it can happen. - Colt
