Plasma or Laser

I was always under the impression that they shot bullets that were charged with plasma or whatever.

Nah, only the wookie crossbows does something like that, and maybe some other slugthrowers.
You might think that because the Stormtrooper blaster were actually modified Sterling submachineguns that actually fired blank rounds, sometimes visibly ejecting spent cases ;)
 
Please, I don't want my thread turning into something aboot Star Wars. Back on-topic, I love everything about lasers, I kept a laser rifle from primm, up until the final battle (before I had any DLC's), with it fully modded, the laser rifle was a beast.

But the freakin' thing is too powerfull, at least SOME drawback the weapon has to have.
The same goes for Christine sniper, that thing is awsome, but breaks too easy.

But I will dare to imagine something: if LAER had a scope for sniping I doubt people would bash the weapon back and forth. :P :lol:

BTW, Laser all the way if you like sneak and snipe and Plasma for frontal assaults and gung ho.
 
I personally prefer plasma myself. Sure its slow, but man when it hits it hits hard.
The Plasma Defender is my favorite energy weapon in the game, and I love the critical kill animation. Reducing enemies into glowing goop FTW!


Also, I also find the "laser bolt" in FO1 and 2 to be ridiculous. A laser is effectively "weaponized light", to put it simply. Light travels instantaneously, and as such there wouldn't be a bolt (which is slow moving), but rather a beam, like a very dangerous ray of light.

Love plasma from the earlier games, don't know why it has to be slow proyectile in the news; but i like the laser bolt turned into a beam, makes more sense.

Anyway, laser for long speech and plasma for close encounters.

PD: Do you all really like the LAER? I find it's... ugly :twisted: just my thoughts
 
I think the LAER was my favorite out of all the guns. It was even better than the Alien Blaster. Elijah's LAER was the best I think.

Before OWB, my energy weapon was a fully modded laser rifle. Then it became the LAER. I didn't like using Elijah's because of how quickly it wore down. And I only used the Alien Blaster a few times, just for the sake of checking it out. Limited ammo and all that.

RCW, Tri-Beam and Laser Rifle are 3 of best guns in game which don't cost much.

What does Rechargeable Rifle and Pistol come under?? :crazy:
 
Plasma caster, nuff said. Or the multiplas rifle.

Time and time again I have mowed down many a Legion with my plasma caster. And many fiends fell victim to my multiplas rifle and point blank. The defender makes for a decent sidearm.

However tha holo rifle is a fine weapon, as is the gauss rifle and the mf hyper breeder alpha
