I don't agree. The United States is not unlike the Middle East. It has guns everywhere, aggrieved aimless young men amidst economic uncertainty who hunger for anyone else to blame whether rightly or wrongly. If anything were to destabilise it, it doesn't take many to terrify and intimidate everyone to "choose what side [they're] on" and enforce monarchical power.
 
This isn't going to result in a full blown civil war. Sure, some violent uprisings which end up being quashed, and then martial law before order reigns supreme again.
 
I just don't think we have enough experience with economic crisis while having post-wwii weapons everywhere. Incidentally, there was a Republican congress that threatened to cause the country to default numerous times.

Folks claimed there'd be a civil war when Obama won... didn't happen. The country doesn't have the balls for that type of thing anymore.
 
Yeah, because obviously either Hillary or Trump are so bad, that you need a civil war or revolution ... I mean that's the point, there is LITERALY no middle ground for some in this political debate. I mean I hate Trump and he is not fit to be a President, but he's not Hitler god damnit.

I have a hard time believing this stuff. It's too absurd to the point of comical villainy. Still, while I'm highly skeptical of these claims I'll keep an open mind if some proper evidence is presented. If it does turn out to be true then it would be the plot of a cheesy mystery thriller b-film and I would have to question reality itself.
