First time out of the vault
So are there possebilities they will be released? According to the interplay IRS filings they are:
Code:
In June 2004, we licensed to Bethesda Softworks LLC ("Bethesda") the rights to develop Fallout 3 on all platforms for a non refundable advance against royalties of $1.175 million. Bethesda also has an option to develop two sequels, Fallout 4 and Fallout 5 for $1.0 million minimum guaranteed advance against royalties per sequel. Interplay retained the right to develop massively multiplayer online games (MMOLG) using the Fallout trademark.

In July 2004, we sold the Redneck Rampage intellectual property rights to Vivendi for $300,000.

In December 2004, we licensed from Majorem the exclusive worldwide, outside of Taiwan, publishing and distribution rights to the MMOLG, Ballerium.

In January 2005, our majority shareholder, Titus Interactive SA, who holds approximately 58 million shares of our common stock, representing approximately 62% of our outstanding common stock, was placed into involuntary liquidation.

Shouldn't we be focussing on Fallout 3 first and care about stuff like this much, much later?

Sicne Bethesda has the rights to them, yes, it's possible.

Of course, we can't know anything whatsoever about this since Fallout 3 hasn't even been released.

No, but they still have the rights to them. If they decide to make them, they'll be obliged to pay Interplay 1 million for each, but they do have the rights to them.

Heh. It looks like their right has something in common with Schroedinger's kitten.

They have the right, but won't have it until they pay.

Nevertheless, what I wanted to estabilish is whether they paid already.

So, what makes Taiwan so special?

I see no reason for this thread to live. The info has been known since the dawn of time, and general discussion of Fo4-5 would only degenerate into utterly meaningless speculation and Beth-bashing.

Locking and leaving it up to someone else whether to unlock.
