Prima Official Game Guide: Collector's Edition

Working Designs (a company long since out of business) used to put together excellent guides for their games. Tons of interviews, extras, things left out, stickers and the guide itself was written in a humorous way. Theirs are pretty much the only guide I've ever gotten

A dedicated section for FO3 would kind of be silly here. It'd be like sporting a geographic globe at the Flat Earth Society.

I don't get what your saying here... Final fantasy tactics? FFT2?
Is there something im not aware of here?

The same group designed the story, game, characters, etc.. that also did Vagrant Story, FFT, and Tactics Ogre.

I'm just saying this group would have been better spent making Final Fantasy Tactics 2. They already failed (in my opinion) at RPG's when they made Vagrant Story. They're good at making up multiple characters that have just enough character, story, and background to be useful in a game like Final Fantasy Tactics.

from what i saw of FFT, it seemed really cool.

i always wished it had been ported to PC and i would have bought it in a heartbeat.

One word: Mods.

Yeah ok see i didn't know such games existed and just thought to myself that you may have mixed Fallout (-Tactics) With Final Fantasy there for a moment.

Thanks for the clarification, not been much of a fan on anything final fantasy since 7 (Which was great)

I bought a guide once, for Turok on the N64. The guide had an awesome cheat I couldn't find anywhere else. This was a time when a guide was closer in reach than an internet connection. I bought it, immediately brought it home, and entered the code. Turns out it was a complete fake. I never bought a guide ever since. Hell, it was even by Prima, so double the fail.

Yea, i remember those days.

You would always get some cheat on some game mag CD or the mag itself, then find out it was just complete nonsese when no matter what it would not work.

GAH

You should have got a message on the screen

"FINISH THE GAME WITHOUT CHEATS DUMMIE!!"

:D

I remember getting a sweet guide with my fallout 1 and 2, in those days we called it a manual and got it free in a nice big box. Compared to the 5 page install manual with 3 pages for other Beth products we are probably getting in our little DVD case now.

Oh yeah, I have Fallout 1&2 and Tactics, Arcanum, Planescape:Torment and...TES Morrowind (yes, I've bought this game!!), in nice boxes on the shelf, at home in Poland.
Can't wait to bring them here, to UK...

The original Polish edition and the enhanced international edition of The Witcher include a fairly good game guide.

Ah, those where the days. I remember asking everyone I know how to get the damn bucket in Monkey Island II without the pirates noticing. I was, like, 10 years old. Someone asked me if I've already been to LeChuck's castle and I said something like 'No way, why would I want to go there?'

Anyway, why would anyone publish, let alone buy, a Collector's Edition of a frickin' Game Guide? Last time I checked, the Game Guide Collectors Club was, well, nonexistent.
