Racism: Why?

@Megatron, i had to learn to fight or get beat up every day! That is the level if "teasing" that was prevalent when i was in school, and it did not stop till i kicked the shit out of one person who was a big asshole and 3 years older than me, who had been held back a year. I think that was one of the reasons i joined the US Marine Corps, was to continue my skills training and get paid for it! :wink:

Struggles make you a better person. Nobody ever improved through being spoilt and pampered or hidden away like a momma's boy.

Though now I think society is a little warped. People deal with there problems differently, usually through 'talking it out'. This is fine in some situations, in others it's pointless and just to delay things. For instance, people complain how people should have talked to the columbine killers. I think they should have just beaten people up instead of killing them. Though fighting is frowned upon more now than I'm guessing it was 30 years ago.

I would rather have kids beat each other up than shoot each other. For one thing, it's disruptive in class when gunshot go off in the hallway (although it does open up class discussion on the importance of social peace, non-violence, or, if you are in Gwydion's class, yet another reason why we should all own a gun).

I was having this discussion with a mom whose kid had been sent home for discipline for beating up a kid who was starting a fight with him. The kid was being completely defensive. She was saying how that kind of behavior was inappropriate. Sure, in the adult world, that kind of behavior is fitting only in bars and mud wrestling, but in the school yard? Come on. That's part of growing up.

Maybe the question shouldn't be racism, why? but racism, why not? Hmmm....
 
yeah i guess that's why i like to kick the shit out of smartasses now! out talk them then grind their faces into the ground, because of that acceptable behavior of picking on somebody 3 years younger than them! :wink: And let's not forget the reason why, because the kid was fat and smarter than them. Guess they had it coming! :lol:
