The reply to Executioner's post was already in the text itself. How convenient.
Hit me on the head with a shovel if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken, nobody gets a scholarship just because he's black? I mean, their grades and capacities still have to be high enough to warrant a scholership, no?

And I don't think the article here mentioned anything about grades. You only had to say why you were proud to be white...
Who says we all support minority scholarships? They're just as stupid as white scholarships.I think its a good idea. Why shouldn't whites be proud of their race? Why shouldn't whites have their own scholarships? IMO, anyone calling this ridiculous but supporting 'minorities only' scholarships is nothing but a hypocrite.
And it was a stupid thing to say as well. Why was it a stupid thing to say? Because it makes it seem like he thinks that whites are somehow better than others, or that he has a right to be proud of people just because he has the same skin color as them. Honestly, that's just stupid.Damn you for making me get off my lazy ass and type a reply. I'd love it if all scholarships were based on need and merit only. I'm just pissed off at some people's reactions in my region over things like this mentioned scholarship. If someone around here said he was proud to be white, he'd be labeled some sort of racist skinhead...it actually happened. There was a speaker at some sort of local public function and he said that he was proud to be white and proud of the achievements of whites through history. The next day, black 'rights' leaders were all over the news calling him a racist and demanding that he be removed from his teaching position at a local school...the school board replaced him.
It's a hospital obligation to oblige to the couple's wishes. Of course, the couple was being stupid, but this was not racism on the part of the hospital, but on the part of the couple.Another time, a woman was at a local hospital to give birth. Her husband told hospital workers that he did not want any black people to take part in the procedure. A black nurse working there was told that due to the patient's wishes, she could not enter the room. Days later, black 'rights' leaders were on the news again calling the hospital racist and demanding satisfaction...the hospital later issued a public apology to the nurse. The reason's why the couple didn't want any black people around are their own concern, their choice. Should the couple have been forced to accept a black person assisting with the procedure?
Using your ethnic idenitity for your own advantage or other's disadvantage is also stupid. But this goes both ways. Saying "Hey, they do it, why shouldn't we do it" is simply silly.I have nothing against black people, just the ones who use race as an excuse for everything or a threat when they don't get what they want. People should learn to accept others' opinions and not force their own upon others.
