Maybe F3 could be based around the origional vault dweller being raised from the dead, or a totally new one being grown in a lab (I think the latter idea will work better but I am just typing it all down right now and I dont feel like editing). Then he could be brought back to deal with some sort of new crisis with canada. We all remember the intro to F1 where the guy in power armor executes the canadian with his pistol. It could be something like: the canadians now have control of canada and they are growing an army to conquer north america. The origional vault dweller is now brought back in order to combat the canadian menace. Might work for a new plot.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Jan-08-02 AT 08:28AM (GMT)[p]Oh No , we wouldnt want to have canadians in control of CANADA !! sweet mother of god no..... hmmmmmm i like the plot , it has a very pulp comic book feel , but not the original vault dweller back from the dead .. its toooo .... alien resurrection, maybe you can be a soldier or something i dunno.. but i would like to see a lower tech , FO1 based game ...

as a canadian, i'd prefer to be the canadian military hunting down the vault dweller..... pesky yanks =]

hmm im australian ... can i whip out a minigun and help the canadians ?!?

nooo you get the razor tipped boomerangs from FOT
(there may or may not be boomerangs in FOT so dont tell me that there arnt i hate that game and didnt even play past the 3rd level, partly because my computer needs ram, and mostly because i hated the squad combat. i always prefered fighting alone in the previous fallouts, and my usual unarmed character didnt work to good in FOT either... unbalanced crap game) :(

hey hey hey settle , im pretty sure there are boomerangs in that shithole game they call tactics, i never got around to finishing that game , i just left it rambling away at how much of a sellout game it was to the fans .. i was right pissed off i was ....... anyways why cant i just throw beer cans at the americans ? that would be much more australian ! hehee *lurches away and passes out* .....

only if they are those big beer cans, like they sell in japan =D
saporo! (spelling)

yeah, and i'll throw snowballs, cuz its the canadian thing to do

no way zuger , you gotta squirt maple syrup at them sheesh , that would be way more canadian ; )

sorry im not 'hip' with the canadian stereotypes as of late :)
do we still live in igloos? =]

(hehe... by the way, i thought it was funny how the uS got more snow then western canada this year) =D

hmmm oh i dunno , its funny how everyone stereotypes everyone else ,but when you see that country it basically looks the same as everything in your countries ? .. well maybe this doesnt count with places in the middle east or desert countries but you get my drift .. we all bag each other out because we are different , but essentially were just the same (breaks out in song and starts swaying . heal the world make it a better place .....) EWWWWWW i scare myself sometimes *pulls out lightbringer pistol and goes out to reak some havok*

just like patriotism further divides everyone and causes even more hate among people.

Okay, how bad an idea is this? There is no ressurection in Fallout, there is no cloning. Both would require some new technology, and new technology is something that just isn't happening in Fallout. There's no point in being in a Post-Apocalyptic setting if there are new technologies popping up right and left, especially ones so advanced as cloning and ressurection.

How? Canada most likely didn't have Vaults like the United States did. After all, they were annexed by the Unites States for the resources, not the people. Even if Canada had something similar to vaults, it's doubtful they had near the amount of vaults as the United States, nor did they have anything to organize them.

There's something about the term, "canadian menance" that just sounds wrong.

Don't think so.

Yeah, that and the fact that there's not really an America to take over anymore, let alone a Canada to do it.

I think it would work.. the origional charachter from F1 or 2 was cloned in some place like the sierra military base and you are playing him, you start off with a nice talk from a friendly super-computer telling you that somt shit is goin' down in the world, and you gotta go kick some ass... Maybe a tribe shaman places the vault dwellers clothing onto a mechanised table in a "shrine" which is of course in a vault, this activates some kind of ReviveTec thingy, which takes DNA samples from the shirt and begins cloning the vault dweller ect.... actually, after writing that, I see why you think this idea sucks :\

yeh the idea of having someone cloned was funny in fallout 2 with the military guy in the sierra army depot , but he ended up dying and it was a cheap laugh .... but as a main character ? thats just fucked

oh , i thought he died on the battlefield , he was cloned , then became unstable and melted , meh ...
