Random Thoughts About Fallout 3

TBH that could describe every single character in Fallout 3. I've only been able to make it 4 hours into the game, and every voice actor (except Liam Dadson) sounds like they are in a radio play for children.
Sentinel Lyons' pretty hot though. She acted like a badass. I would love to enslave her. lol

To be fair you tested a planned big update which was a complete rewrite of the original mod (and yes more buggy :) ). Which sadly never was finished.

I'm roleplaying as a pacifist this run through. It's a goddamn nightmare. Why in the hell didn't Bethsda make simulation kills not count as people kills? It makes trying to be a pacsifist a night mare to play Anchorage and impossible to complete Tranquility Lane. You HAVE to kill the residents one way or another. You can either keep the people killed stat at zero or you can not actually kill them by killing them in simulation so they'll be reset.

I want to scream in frustration.

On a related note to Charwo's point, FO3 has reminded me (especially with its DLCs) just how buggy/glitchy it is, EVEN with the Unofficial FO3 Patch. The exploration aspect of the game is fun and all, but honestly, my patience is wearing thin with these bugs. I can't wait to finally get to New Vegas.

The most frustrating problem for me personally is Three Dog's constant repetition of old news, while failing to report on any new activities I've been involved in. This was the most annoying to me because I was actually looking forward to Three Dog hurling all kinds of insults at my character every time I level up while referring to me by my numerous evil karma titles (Vault Delinquent, Reaver, Harbinger of War, etc.). What a disappointment that was.

TTW isn't a perfect translation. I noticed Three Dog not talking about anything really on the radio, and that's not a feature of Fallout 3 vanilla. TTW isn't perfect, and part of it is if you love mods, need mods to play, it quickly becomes are you going to play Falout 3 with no Fallout 3 specific mods or are you going to play New Vegas with no NV quest mods and such. There's simply not enough room in the load order.

Or have you never played these games and you're playing regular Fallout 3 before starting up a new game of Fallout New Vegas?

I'm not using TTW. lol

Yeah, but like many of the so-called "evil" (*cough*edgy*cough*) actions in FO3, what would be the point of killing Three Dog? You would miss out on some really some awesome music, especially if you installed the GNR Enhanced mod, not to mention the drama show. It has little to no opportunistic and practical value, unlike the evil actions in New Vegas.

Plus, I wouldn't even consider killing an NPC that interesting of an "evil" action anyway. You can just about kill any "good" NPC in FO3 and call it evil, like a beggar, or a Brotherhood of Steel initiate, or a wastelander, or one of the traveling merchants. It doesn't make any difference and the world of FO3 doesn't act any different in spite of whom you kill.

Edit:
Sorry, I miswrote. After killing Three Dog, the station keeps playing anyway. And I guess it does have some small impact - a woman named Margaret replaces him and says like three lines of dialogue to punish you for doing such a stupid and pointless thing. IMPACT! lol
Not everything has to have some value, while I undesrtand your point and I agree with you, I also support some choices that are just choices. Is Is better to have a option to kill three dog , even if it doesnt serve purpose. Choice that is simply a choice. You have a lot of that in life too.

In TTW, Three Dog works just as he does in Fallout 3. If he doesn't work for you, that means you probably have a mod breaking it somehow.

Sounds like a plus to me.
Well, you can just not listen to the radio, if you don't like that idiot screaming the same stuff over and over :wiggle:.
I do like to listen to the Enclave radio sometimes. I like all the old USA patriotic music to be honest.

I do too. I just hate Three Dawg. I don't know if he spells it like that (j/k) because I haven't played the game in years but he should have. Anyone notice how a 90's DJ got in the 50's DJ business?

The 60's music in Tactics is bad. 90's DJ Three Dog is good - Fallout fanbase

Problem with evil path is that it's often the easiest. Why negotiate when you can shoot in the face? So while it's probably more realistic, from a balance prospective it's not. What Fallout 3 needed was just more options. Slavers are good example. Raiders and Talon company would have been as well. They also could have polished more the ending. Example: Brotherhood ending - good guys but they struggle to bring order Enclave ending - Authoritarian, militaristic, fascist but restore orders effectively Chaotic ending - Enclave and Brotherhood are destroyed, status quo. raider gangs talon and Super Mutants strive for control of the Wasteland
