Okay, maybe I just don't like what i have seen of japanes culture. I got nothing against the people. It's just the culture never really did it for me. And than yuo for the compliment :)

Portishead make Trip Hop normally, more electronic, way more fucked up.
I like that russian thing, though, as I'm currently learning the russian language (well, I'm trying to learn it on my own at least) and am very interested in russian music in general.
I've been looking into russian neofolk quite a bit, but it seems that most russian bands use nordic (scandinavian) themes rather than russian themes, which is kinda sad.

The music was good and folky until that guy started screaming.. Never got the appeal of this kind of singing (except for ISIS, there it works, somehow) or Metal music in general.
