It's from a cool 90's Pen&paper role playing game, "Mutant Chronicles". The rpg itself was based on investigation, espionage and urban settings, subtle stuff where freelancers meddled in the corrupted affairs of mega-corporations controlling the solar system ; but the advertising and art department emphasized much more the military aspect of the world, with big dudes with big guns and big armors fighting big battles against big mutants, to compete with W40K. It took its roots and also, logically, led to a tabletop strategy wargame, and collectible card game to... A lot of visual ressources can be found on this site, awesome stuff by Paolo Parente or paul Bonner.
