Real replay value (plot and quests)

That assumes the ridiculous: that Deathclaws DON'T travel in packs.

Okay, you found them sporadically and in isolated numbers in FO3 (even in the Den, you rarely found them in bunched-up groups), but this isn't FO3. EVERY Deathclaw hotspot in New Vegas has several Deathclaws grouped closely together in their packs. Sure, you get Sneak Attack Crits on the first Deathclaw you see, but the rest become alerted, and IF you manage to evade their sense of tracking your direction, it'll be a test of your patience as to whether they let their guard down again and let you GET any additional Sneak Crits. The other Crits, as random numbers typically go, aren't dependable.

So, to summarize: Yes, it's not hard to drop a single oblivious Deathclaw. But it IS challenging/scary to drop Deathclaws as a creature, because of how they stick together (on top of being monstrous).

With 1 exception i can think of you are moslty facing 2 at once and even thenit's not hard to knock their legs out of order. I'm obiously not counting if you are somewhat braindamaged an run into the middle of the quarry at Sloan :P And if they WOULD come 5 at once an exlosive or 2 would most likly stop the entire pack seeing how i've tried it on my second last playtrough before i went back to F3.

And in F3 you got a city "filled" with these not so hard enemies.
I havent feared them since F1 and 2! :x

I haven't. Vanilla, I agree because Cazadores, while a pain in the ass when you first encounter them, and annoying as hell later, aren't really dangerous once your mid-level. The Deatchlaws, on the other hand...those things have ALWAYS been creepily powerful.

Well, the DLC has much more powerful creatures to kill. The Scorpitron ripoffs can be pretty tough, and the enemies in Dead Money were irritating as fuck, not to mention the "Ghoulified" soldiers you face after you leave the Divide...

Worst part about OWB is that you are doomed to melee if you are going in early with a gun build.. And those buggers randomly spawn when you enter certains "cells?" Had a group of nightstalkers land on me the second time i did that DLC and it was not something i liked seeing how i was lvl 7 or something with barly any bullets

No, there's MORE than 1 exception. Although it's near the second-most-dangerous breeding ground, it's not IN IT, and that's Primm Pass. There's also a similar situation near the 100% Locked Railway Tunnel on its Southern entrance with 2-3 Deathclaws moderately spread apart from one another; again they're NEAR a breeding ground, but this spot isn't it. There's always exceptions to any rule, but the rules (good ones, at least) are just a good idea in a broad, general sense.

And Old Olny may have been a "City of Deathclaws", but you'd STILL only find them in very thin "patrols", and encounter them 1 at a time. That place was scary to me until... it wasn't. It still resonated as being somewhat intimidating... until I played New Vegas and tried taking a shortcut North! XD

That's why you shouldn't enter the Big MT until you reach level 15 or so. I do agree the random spawning could become annoying, but scripted encounters can't be managed very well with that engine, in my opinion anyway.

Oh man, I can attest for Slav. I went wandering around the Junction...and ended up facing what I *thought* was a single deathclaw. I had my trusty AMR, so I backpedaled, blasted his head, and turned around to see about 4 or 5 more RIGHT BEHIND ME, all charging! Needless to say, given the AMRs clip size, and the fact that I had no other guns, I ended up having to re-load :)

That happens in New Vegas...like a lot, I usually just shit myself when I see a deathclaw a few feet away from me. But a sneak critical with YCS/186 from a hundred meters away + better criticals perks turns F:NV into super easy mode
I really love that God damn gun!

Anyone who has a harder time with deathclaws than cazadores baffles me.

The problem with playing the Caesar's Legion route is that the only positive dialogue options make you feel like a pussy. The Yes Man route is the most entertaining when it all goes down.

There's only 2 choice in fo3 Idiotic bad guy or good moron guy  .
I don't think dungeons makes no replay value since enemies and loots are generated by level scaling.
I think large amount of replay values are made by well made rules.
For example in fo3 you can be jack of all trade and it makes game easy and do lots of things at single start-to-ending play. but for NV
you can also be jack of all trade but perks makes lots of choices of course there's bunch of weapons to use. for me, I haven't clear NV with same major weapon with previous play and build character different with various perks.
For 1,2 there's lots of way to make character and way to play because of well made rules. I won't explain in detail since you guys knows better than me  .

For plot and quest NV was the best replayable game in my life  .( Of course for now there would be better game in past or future) Lots of subquest that chages endings, my fellows' destiny, DLC also have lots of endings and well made game world.
Funny thing is in my first play, I read all the spoilers :D but it doesn't matter at all! problem is, I play fo 1,2 for same way and I regret to read spoilers. ( but don't be wrong I don't think NV is way better than 1,2. 1,2 has great rule and many way to solve single quest and have better plots and world but for quantity, NV is winner though)

Normal loot becomes meaningless very quickly and having to face stronger versions of the same enemy is hardly worth a second run in a dungeon I already cleared.
