Why instead of telling what idea is shit, the fallout community don't try to come actually with good ideas and suggestions?
It's amusing when some complete newbie comes onto the forum and starts chastizing like this. Maybe you might want to take a look at the other forums, including the archives Fo3 forum as well. Hell, I've even posted ideas on how to make Science, Repair, and many more "useless" skills more practical in the setting.
So think before you rape your keyboard the next time. Right now, we don't know if Bethesda has a concrete plan aside from what their PR guy says and a few other tidbits. We're trying to make sure that they don't make mistakes, by telling them what does make up the game. Telling us that the design will be what they do best and that it won't be "Morrowind with guns" isn't too reassuring nor bright an outlook.
man, bethesda just started to think about fo3.
Just started to think about Fo3? You must be right...it was one of the largest impulse auctions made in the gaming industry, ever.
you don't want Troika's FO3(no you don't).
Funny...Arcanum was more towards Fallout's design than anything Bethesda and BioWare both have developed. They also have two of the core people who would know, of all people, the setting details.
you want your fallout, with your input. it will take more than a year to complete it. so if you really don't want fallout being raped, you must act. not negatively bitching in a forum where the developers prefer to stay away since they only get flamed, but annoy the hell out of them in a healthy way, with constructive critics(unlike "this game will suck and i'm not gonna buy it").
Are you done mouth-stuffing, or are you done looking like a complete jackass yet?
You also assume that developers also listen to fan ideas, of which, very few are used. It also assumes that the developers are willing to listen to the fans, but that assumes an open line of communication.
If you hadn't noticed, while they are happy to give out interviews, they are rather lacking on giving us anything to expect us to give them any credibility or faith that they can develop such a game. The PR fellow already said to expect what Bethesda does best, and another gave a dodgy supposition that may be true. It might not be Morrowind with guns, but that's no reassurance that it would be Fallout, either.
if the developers had some incentive, positive input and good suggestions, they may try to make a game that will please (most of) us.
Or, they would try to cram in all those stupid little fanservice items in a la Fo2, which almost caused the game to flop because of the bugs and classless easter eggs. I'm also not going to do a developer's job for them. Exitium knows how painful that is with Lionheart. Either the developers have a clue or they don't, and it's not my job to make sure that they have done sufficient research and know why the game was developed in such a manner to begin with. If that is gone, then Fallout just becomes like FOT and F

OS, in name only, with a post-apocalyptic setting of sorts that uses the same names.
