RIP David Carradine- Kung Fu and Kill Bill Star- Dead.

I can't believe no one didn't post this already.

But there you have it. Grasshopper is dead. Those of you who remember Kung-Fu (meaning those of us 40 and older who remember watching it on the TV), might find it ironic that Caine of Kung Fu was found dead by hanging, apparent suicide, in Bangkok.

Now, sorry for being a skeptic but "dead by hanging" in Bangkok? I would think death by auto-asphyxiation, ideally while being vigorously blown by a $20 Thai hooker, could have been the cause of death here. Poor hooker is blowing him, maybe thinking about the nice tip, while he's hanging by a noose, realizes he's dead and makes off for the exit quick.

anyway here is the link-

Carradine, 72, was found dead Thursday in his luxury hotel room in Thailand, where he had just begun filming a movie. Police said Carradine was found hanged in the closet. It was unclear whether the death was an accident or suicide

Unclear?

And then there is -
iffany Smith, one of the actor's managers, said she and her colleagues doubted reports that Carradine killed himself.

"All we can say is, we know David would never have committed suicide. We're just waiting for them to finish the investigation and find out what really happened," Smith said. "He really appreciated everything life has to give...that's not something David would ever do to himself."

Carradine had flow to Thailand last week and began work on "Stretch" two days before his death, Smith said. He had several other projects lined up after "Stretch," she said.

I'd also like to say that this-
But his 1975 cult hit "Death Race 2000," about a future America where auto racing has become a blood sport, was more emblematic of his later work as Carradine appeared in such action stories as "Warlock," "Dune Warriors" and "Kill Zone."

BS- The original Deathrace 2000 kicks serious ass. It was one of the great Cult flicks of the 1970s and we were still talking about it into the late 1980s.

Caine is dead. Bummer. All I can say, I hope that if it was an accident, that he was getting blown by a $20 Thai whore.

Notice- it is unclear if it was death by accident or suicide. If its death by accident- what the fuck are you doing in a noose in your closet if not being blown by a $20 Thai hooker?

I was going to post this earlier but I didn't really have enough details about it to really start a topic.

I had no idea he had hanged/been hanged whatever but seriously still lame.

Despite the cheese I kinda liked Kung Fu and liked his roll as Bill in Kill Bill. Never seen Death Race 2000, but should probably give it a watch.

And yes indeed, Caine is dead. I should walk the earth in his honor.

David Carradine died during a sex game that went wrong, according to sources in Bangkok, Thailand, where he was found dead on Thursday.

Carradine's body was discovered in a hotel suite and local reports suggested he committed suicide.

He was discovered by a maid, naked and hanged, but the suggestions his death had a sexual twist were strongly disputed by the star's close friend, attorney Vicki Roberts, and his manager Chuck Binder, who insisted he died of natural causes.

But a statement from Carradine's representative now indicates the actor died during a sex act.

Just saw in the night pogramm (yes I am owl ...) "The Silent Flute" and was asking my self if he was still alive. Well that answers the question I guess.

If I remember right that show was usualy partialy a idea from Bruce Lee, in which it was intended that the main character should be played by him, but they choose Carradine later as the studio thought (something like that cant remember everything) Lee was looking "to much like a asian" for the show ...

But yeah the show was notheless pretty well. It seems anyway that David had somewhat a conection with Bruces work. In one way or another (for the worse or better ... )

If he truly died during a sex act, let's hope at least the man died having fun, right?

Holy crap.

I knew this happened, but to this extent?

Hmm. Oh well. He was an awesome actor. Too bad he's gone.

And in such a way.

Hehe. That dirty old pervert. What a way to leave this sad, lonely planet behind. :D

I heard this earlier today, always upsetting to hear of someone passing. When I heard of this I found the "apparent hanging" questionable, espiecially after reading the testimonials of his character by his friends.

Deathrace 2000 kicks gratuitous amounts of ass. The part where Frankenstein runs over a number of doctors, instead of the old folks the doctors have rolled into the street, kicks ass. On the whole, lots of ass kickery.

Junior: Frankenstein scores! Frankenstein scores at last! But what kind of a score, boys and girls? Just 80 points out a possible big 700. What do you think, Gracie?

Grace Pander: Well, those doctors - dear friends of mine - have been pretty smug all these years setting up the old folks. Frankenstein must have decided it was their turn.

Harold: Which only goes to show that even the fearsome Frankenstein has a one-hundred-percent, red-blooded American sense of humor, heh heh.

well, don't they always say that hanging leaves you with one last absolute sexual stimulus just before you die? (basically you cream your pants)

not a bad way to go at 72 years old tbfh... i hope my death will be as nice.

Somewhere in an 1880s western town there's a group of neanderthal bully cowboys in need of a barefoot ass-kicking.

The moment I finished watching "Big Stan" i heard about his death. I was really surprised even more with the way he died.

I liked Kung Fu and I also remember liking a martial arts flick Carradine was in called Circle of Iron. I think Bruce Lee wrote the script.

Kung Fu was a little bit Fallouty, actually. A loner wandering the desert setting things right. I'll never forget that shot in the credits where Caine picks up a red-hot iron pot with his forearms, branding them with a dragon and a tiger.
