If the old sprs need real shadow, I can remake them.
 
Because the Tactics engine is limited and lacks major features, this way is better ;)
Last Vegas will work and feel more like Fallout 3 and New Vegas as if they where made 2D and by Interplay but with Bethesda's ideas and theme. (If you can imagine it??)

I will have the ability to add any feature that Last Vegas desires as with Tactics i am limited with what the Triggers can do.

Major features that will save lots of time is new formats like sprites (only need Photoshop now) and a easy to use editor like the one FreeFT uses.

I'm not going to release to much info on it just yet... little early...


So you say you will use an easy editor than the regular one?to create maps?
 
Not just maps, every file, like sprites, tile, campaign, entity and more all in one easy to use editor.

New news post on Mod DB:

Hello everyone.

As you may or may not know "Fallout: Last Vegas" is now obsolete, "Project Safehouse" is the successor to this canceled project.

Project Safehouse will take a completely new direction than Last Vegas, we are currently slowly yet very carefully developing a new story with plots to go with it completely unique from the other Fallouts, like Last Vegas the game is to have multiple endings so the player gets the freedom of choice, we are working on sort of a "bubble effect" in the story line, for example: If the player where to start and immediately kill a important Legion NPC that is the commander of a camp, the camp may get removed or reoccupied by the same or different faction over time and will effect the strength of that faction and supplies they have thus changing the story, each faction will move and take land depending on different paths the player will take.

Even though Project Safehouse is taking a new direction there is a lot of ideas and resources that will be passed down from Last Vegas such as the Stand Aim feature, maps, sprites and other resources.

We have definitely been working hard on this project, i myself have been working on it most of the day everyday since i first changed the name, it has become something i look forward to whenever i have the time.

Enclave v3.3 is going a little slower than expected do to problems with missing tiles but once that issue has been resolved we will send it to our testers for a further analyses to make sure there are no remaining problems, then a release.

If you own Fallout Tactics and have a sharp eye for bugs you qualify for Enclave v3.3 testing, if your interested PM here on Mod DB or shoot me a Email robco.db@gmail.com
You will be sent a link to Enclave v3.3 BETA after i have decided it is ready, details on how to test is very simple: you must send screenshot(s), save(s) and or if necessary detailed information on any and every bug you may find.

"Enclave 2" is at the moment not in any real development, we plan to start development shortly after Project Safehouse is released, though not in full development we are still working on the story and plots that go with it, maybe a few sprites here and there.

The Mod Launcher v2.1 will be better than ever! It will make installing any mod safe and easy as 1 step! Plus it comes with a new skin that will make the Mod Launcher much easier to use and more user friendly.

We have been working on this project for some time but our programer has very little time to spare at the moment so the project is on pause till he returns.

Like i said above "It will make installing any mod safe and easy as 1 step!" We really mean 1 step!! Just download the mod folder and install with it's automated installer, can't get any easier than that ;)
We will handle any technical problems that a mod may have with the Mod Launcher such as conflicts with Improver data and compatibility with special mod requirements, any bugs or problems with the mod is not my responsibility unless the mod is published by RobCo or if the problem is because of alterations by me or by other members of RobCo.

We are looking for mappers, sprite creators, tile creators, trigger creators, Photoshop artists, 3D artists, programers, sound artists, voice actors and any other skills you might have.

NOTE: We may not need your particular skill or skills at the moment, we will keep you in the contact list until otherwise ;) If you are in need of Fallout Tactics a copy will be supplied same with other various programs and tools needed to get the job done.

Yes it's almost 5x larger than the original Tactics campaign, unlike Tactics it will be a true RPG like Fallout 1 and 2.

It will have a proper Fallout story as well.
