Edward R Murrow's is damn right. So much wasted potential and a crate of cheesy shit instead of moral ambiguity and consequenses of your actions. (he`s incorrect on some gameplay moments, though)
I found the RPG Codex review to be a great read as it pretty much summed up all my gripes with Fallout 3. Maybe he leaned a bit heavy on the negative side of things, but still, I couldn't find anything in the article that I didn't agree with.
He made a good point about the main character in FO3, that is very like in Oblivion, where you just do what you've been told or that you were not the main guy who did the biggest "ass kicking" in the story
I think this is because in Bethesda's games, the main quest is only furthered by a series of "sub" main quests. These quests need to be given by some sort of higher power. Therefore, you are a little coffee bitch (sorta like Todd...). Bethesda does not know how to make a plot line flow without consecutive quests, unlike the original Fallout's singular goals.
