Rumor: Fallout: New Vegas features

Well, chinese agents have been in the Van Buren story too, so that's nothing new. Feral ghouls have been in the original games too, if you take a look at some in Necropolis. Though they have not been very common, yes.

i already know that these guys are better at dialogue than the retards at Bethzorr, so i'm not worried about that. however...the one thing i've been harping on over at Obsidian (and at Bethesda's board for that matter) forever is this:

- The SPECIAL system used will be similar to Fallout 3, but skills will be harder to cap and one character will not be able to become a master of all skills. The article is not very specific because apparently it's something the developers are still tweaking.

and while this seems to be good news i really hope they fixed it for the sake of dialogue checks and made it actually meaningful.

again...giggidy giggidy

though I wonder about vehicles in Fallout3 gamebryo engine...how would that work, exactly.

Of course this could always be some bullshit a GameFAQs douchebag made up. I'll wait till GI announces the next cover.

well at least this makes it sound like they're putting some more effort into actual roleplaying and not mindless action.

Woah! This just sounds awesome! Can't wait! And of course...one thing is for sure...my first playthrough will be with the ghoul!

Well, hopefully the background openings aren't cinematic.

If they're using the same basic stuff that Bethesda used for Fallout 3, we're looking at the most wooden and unpleasant end of the world ever.

I for one can't wait to kurosu some Americans as a Chinese spy.

Oh wait, kurosu is a Japanese word.

Interesting...
now all they have to do is:
isometric view, turn-based combat, dialogue option based on player's SPECIAL (skill too) and we are all set. :ugly:

- Similar to Dragon Age: Origins, at character creation the player can select from different background stories. The first few hours of the game are different depending on which background you choose, and you get some unique perks based on your background when the main game begins.

Arcanum. (beat with an ugly stick is my favorite) :P

Meh. I don't care if it's TB or iso or an Action RPG. I just want it to be fun.

For some reason, I find the part about vehicles to be doubtful, unless they are not really drivable in real time.

If this is true (though it sounds kind of shady), then:

The other makes the player immune to radiation sickness and allows the player to discharge accumulated radiation in a blast similar to a Glowing Ghoul, healing the player and any mutants while damaging all non-mutants in range.

Radiation magic is utter failure .... :naughty:

Yeah, the vehicles part made me shiver too.
But the rest sounds just awesome. The best news we've got here for months. Can't wait till the news avalanche is starting. :D
