Russia ? Really!

eh no. That is not a good comparison.

Why are those people not part of the society ? It is a complicated topic for sure.

But again. Even if I personally are not a "fan" of those parades. But they are needed - at least there where the gay people don't have equal rights. They start trouble ? That is exactly WHY they happen. So it becomes known to the public. As long they cause such mayhem people should consider to rethink their values (if they want to call them self a "democracy" with equal rights to everyone yada yada yada ...).

It is about the principle really. Gay people which do it feel the need to "celebrate" their sexuality. I don't feel that way. But I see why it is needed. Some do it with a parade. Others go in to politics and once they are on top come out with their sexuality - in other words they do it from the intellectual side.

Homosexuality for it self is still a big concern. In some areas more (homosexual raper anyone ? Com on ... all of them are hetero ? Heh good joke) while in others less. The artistic field has always been open and one of the few areas where homosexuals never had any issues with their sexuality. There is a sub-culture. And as long this culture has to exist "under" the surface something is wrong.

I am not saying people have to love it. I would love to life in a world where sexuality is NOT any kind of question. But so far this only counts for heterosexuality. Or when was the last time you judged someone because he was heterosexual. Happens with gays all the time though. For what ever reason. Some are more open about it and curious others don't care. But a large number of people think they should not be here.

Seems i misinterpreted your reply , disregard this as a response to you, but others who fit the description feel free to think this is a reply to you.

What you are saying is: hey for the sake of the status quo (read:stability) we can stomp on the head of this particular minority.

Our cultural evolution did not hinge on passivity ...

I'm very weird politically speaking (and otherwise) in the sense that i don't adhere to a particular dogma - on the whole i don't belong to a conservative or liberal political setting, i see myself as politically neutral.

In my book both of them suck.

I'm ok with gays (i will argue for their rights and liberties) but i'm anti-multiculturalism (some cultures are just incompatible, the only multicultural setting that has proven to work is the segregated western white multicultural country that goes by the name of Switzerland ) for example.

And on that topic (multiculturalism) sociologically speaking anything outside of that spectrum (segregated western white multiculturalism) has proven to have big negative effects on society, it may have some positive ones but those are overriden.

I think the problem for gays in Eastern Europe is that it's very desirable for one to be anti-gay.

what has this to do with "multiculturalism" if you're simply asking for "equality" ? And its damn clear that some places don't have those.

You don't have to accept everything. But it is not even the point. But people should have the damn right to "celebrate" regardless if it is their sexuality or religion.

When was the last time people complained about the silly carnival that you cant do it because it is to "loud". Though suddenly when it are gay people feeling proud about their sexuality its kinda "wrong" and "not needed".

I know man, us Indian people or we thieving Muslims are just to scary to exist in western society. We just love violence too much despite the fact that I have never got into a fight in my life.

Where else do you see ultranationalist skinhead groups with orthodox priests present, supporting them at protests and marches?

Can I see a source for this?

I just read that Tim Cain, our beloved Fallout master, is gay and married...that's fine, I would probably marry the man so we could just hang out and discuss F1.

It's a communist site i think- “Russian orthodox priests blessed skinhead protesters outside the venue,” as they prepared to attack the club, reported GayNZ.com on May 29

When did they get married? August? I think they got married in summer.

At first, I though it was a joke. But it turned he really is gay and got married.
I'm fine with it though, just another man whose work I respect that is gay. 8-)
