Sawyer talks about Gifted

I've got to say it. The one thing that really bugs me about NMA lately, is when Sawyer has an idea, the news posters feel the need to denounce or appraise it. This may tell Sawyer that he should leave something out, when the Fallout fans here might want it in. It also tells me that my opinion doesn't really matter much, because it's just in the background.

All of the news posters seem to do this, I'm not pointing at one person. It would be great if the the news page is just news, and that the opinions are keep in the comment section. That's what it's for.

Awwww... That's too bad that NMA news people give their opinions on things. Maybe we should sack Odin and the rest of the crew and replace them with a generic harvesting PERL script that scours the IPLY forum instead and simply posts what JE Sawyer says with a link to that thread! I mean, seriously.. Let's fuck the whole human approach to things, where people have likes and dislikes and encourage people to discuss their opinions as well. Opinions are bad. Let's go THX-1183 on this!

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (or COBRA) is a law passed by the U.S. Congress on a reconciliation basis and signed by President Ronald Reagan that, among other things, mandates an insurance program giving some employees the ability to continue health insurance coverage after leaving employment. COBRA includes amendments to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). The law deals with a great variety of subjects, such as tobacco price supports, railroads, private pension plans, emergency room treatment, disability insurance, and the postal service, but it is perhaps best known for Title X, which amends the Internal Revenue Code and the Public Health Service Act to deny income tax deductions to employers (generally those with 20 or more full-time equivalent employees) for contributions to a group health plan unless such plan meets certain continuing coverage requirements. The violation for failing to meet those criteria was subsequently changed to an excise tax. Although this statute became law on April 7, 1986, its official name is the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (Pub.L. 99–272, 100 Stat. 82). Because of the discrepancy between the official name of the Act and the year in which it was enacted,[1] some government publications refer to the Act as the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1986. The Act is often referred to simply as "COBRA".

Did I ever say opinions are bad? No, I didn't. I guess I expect too much from the website.

I guess you need to start paying attention, go back into the news archives and look at our "negative" comments. Actually you'll noticed that not all of them are negative, some are yes and it's our god given right to state our opinion. You don't like it, then why bother going here ?
If you really just wanted news about Fallout given in a totaly neutral way pay a visit to Gamespy or Gamespot, the biggest ass kissers on the net.

I can somewhat understand you, but we're sorry to burst you bubble. We DO have opinions and we are here to state them, both on the main page and in these forums.

Oh and where does it say that our opinions should be in the comments and not the news post ? I've never seen anything that said that..

not to criticize as I love this site more than any other (hrmm... maybe site should be game but either way, this sites the place to be when it comes to fallout ;-)) I understand where he is coming from. Perhaps the issue Sawyer confronted should be posted on the main page in the news, and then immediately after in the post, whichever of you found it could state your views.

Either way its cool with me but it does appear that the view stated on the main page is law. Not much that it matters but its just a thing to consider. After all, I usually agree with your view on it anyways but o well :-p.
