Simpsons movie?

They've been talking about this for a long time, I'm glad Groening and company are finally going to do it.

The show has been top notch, lately.

I'm not, comedy series belong at a comedy series pace, not at a full motion picture pace. Southpark is the only one I've seen pull that one off. Besides which, the show's been going downhill anyway, 's not like it'll certainly zoom up

What about the Smurfs upcoming 3D movie?

You took the words right out of my mouth there Kharn! I couldnt have said it better myself.

By the way next time you do that make sure you wear anti-septic gloves. I rarely floss and only brush once a day you know...

Sincerely,

THE SMURFS HAVE A MOVIE?!?!

They will...

Quite frankly, I can only imagine the pot-related glory that must be a 3D Smurf feature film

I wonder if Smurfette'll be hot.

I have never watched Smurfs. If it has bestiality, or incest, please warn me.

Otherwise, I have a DVD chock full of "erotic" toons from the Western Europe circa Before the Great Wall Fall.

Making the world safe for kiddie cartoon porn!

I hear its live-action? Garfield was great in books and tv, but... horrible in live action.

You reckon the simpsons have improved? compare the 4th or 5th season with the new one. The simpsons have gone down, way down. Greoning should never have given up on futurama.
That said, i have very low expectations of a simpsons movie, because the simpson's characters just doesn't have the capacity for a grand enough theme, because nothing changes, except for the death of a very few minor characters. the Southpark movie did, which was the death of Kenny/rise of satan/redemption of Kenny.
The only way a simpsons movie could be any good would be to either kill a reletively important character (apu, krababble, mr. burns) or have a 'coming of age' scenario for either bart or lisa, which would affect future series. the simpsons is too old and too comercial for such a change. A Simpsons movie is likely to be trivial, therefore boring, cause you can't strech out a 30min episode to to 90-120 mins

H.B.Flaubert out.
