I get really annoyed by comments like these.

Trying to associate people's critiques as biased, or uninformed, or a cheap cop out trying to sound smart. Who cares if it's accurate or not in describing things, the point is it's a statment meant to dodge the real issue. That's all these Bethesda people ever do.

What of the criticisms of Bethesda?? Well, lots of companies boards criticize them.....and I think sometimes people do it to sound smart. Okay...that answer is fine, but it fails to address anything of substance.

What I currently dislike most about Bethesda, is the extent to which they've craptified
the story and world they built up in the first few TES games.

Frankly, I fear for the future of Fallout, fairly frequently,
but until we see some actual content, I doubt that I could be bothered to raise
much antipathy, above baseline. I hate BethSoft for Oblivion.
Ask me if I hate them for Fallout 3, after they make Fallout 3.

The transition between Wasteland -> Fallout was quite scarey.
It took some... adjustment (and a few stims).
I'm betting FO -> FO3 will be at least as disruptive;
but with luck, it will bring a whole slew of noob FO fans
into the community.

This is, imo GOOD. Fresh blood, even if radically
different and incompatible with our own, gives a better chance
for survival and persistence. Maybe some of us will even learn
to like FO3, the way some of us learned to like FO.
(the rest of us, who still play Fountain of Dreams, probably aren't procreating)

Adapt... or die.

Sucks, but the alternatives are: "die" and "adapt and then die"

!!!

Well, ok.
There's also "complain and then die"

Adaptation and retraining is the only realistic way we're going
to get to play another Fallout, tho.

but at least Fallout was not called Wasteland 2, so that could be credited as a separate but inspired series. While Bethesda is calling it Fallout 3 and not a different name with a similar idea.

You may not believe it, but not everyone here or at the other communities shares your exact same opinion of bethesda.
I have long waited for an expert on the opinions of the Fallout communities to register. About time, too.
