So Old I'm Losing Radiation Signs
Orderite
I just started to play this today, and must admit, I really enjoy it. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.

I hadn't used the creature creator before, and think that's it's a lot of fun just playing around with that.

Anybody else playing it?

I've been playing it a bit, just got out of the ocean, and am having a bitch of a time getting any allies,

I have exterminated 3 species tho.

I'm enjoying it but I can't see it lasting very long.

The game lacks depth.

Oh well, I'm sure EA will release 1,000 expansion packs for it anyway.

Saw the box at the games vendor this weekend. Looks like kiddie stuff to me, graphics and all. Saw there was a dumbed down version for the DS as well.

Nothing alec is particularly interested in. :seriouslyno:

I play it, too, seems like a cross-over of a MMORPG and RTS. Unfortunatly, it may get boring pretty quick (although I loved being a cell). One-timer or a game for those boring days.

It is pretty addicting, one of the few games I've played for hours without looking at a watch.
Space stage appears to be where they spent most of their "depth budget" though.

I've been playing it a lot for the past day or so, and am really enjoying it so far.

Creating creatures is a riot, and I like how the game goes from a simple "Fl0w" style game, to a RTS, to the space stage, and they all feel cool.

Looks like kiddie stuff indeed, idiotic looking creatures, uninteresting color palette,...

It's fun.

I took particular pleasure in creating a velociraptor herd and ripping the cuddly-cute Maxis creatures to pieces.

Most of the time periods are shallow, although the space age is pretty much awesome.

I appreciate the fact that members of this forum don't spam with animated creatures in their signatures unlike some other forums

No problem, I played the hell out of it on my Atari 800.

Along with Auto Duel, Wasteland, Ultima, etc.

That Atari had the best damn keyboard of anything.

There's surprisingly little replay value. I expected much more. There are too few pieces to select from, a part of them is purely cosmetic, and the ones that do have relevance don't require the player to do any kind of balancing. It's simply a matter of earning more points and buying better pieces. The space stage is exciting at first, particularly for someone who likes games a la Star Control. The way terraforming functions is interesting and the galaxy is huge. But it soon becomes apparent that, as the previous stages, space stage is too shallow and offers too few activities. Overall, I expected more depth from this game.
