Star Wars Episode 3 fantrailers, quality only pls.

Why would anyone waste their time making a fantrailer for a movie that is undoubtably going to be a disappointment? Only further proof that George Lucus can't write a script or provide a movie with any redeeming qualities, though he can market tie-in products well.

"The fall of series" more like.

That is one shitty trailer...

I was going to see it anyway... but I'll still see it, and I'm expecting to be dissapointed.

I hate to bring you all the bad news, but Star Wars sucks the worlds biggest weiner and swallows it all....

Mohrg

No. No it does not. Not even the 2 new ones.

Need proof? Compare it to The Chronicles of Riddick or some shit. They're generally amazing in the visual department, and Episodes 3-6 might be the greatest SciFi movies after Metropolis.

4 - 6, dude. The third one is yet to come out.

And yeah, episodes 1 and 2 sucked. Come on. Jar jar Binks? What the fuck is that supposed to be for a sci-fi setting? Ninja-Yoda wielding a matchstick? A Zerg Lurker to fight with in a cosmic gladiator fight?

Meh, the only cool things in both those movies were the rolling-sentinel bots in the first, and the end battle scene (which strangely reminded me of Mechwarrior 2) in the second. I'm not too optimistic on the third..

Anyways, Luscasarts had damn good adventure games. Monkey Island, Sam and Max, Day of the Tentacle... Great pixel art, too.

More like the most overrated scifi movies after Metropolis.

The greatest would probably by Alien or some more intellectual SF movie like that.

Alien might take the cake with me as well, but what's wrong with Metropolis? It baisically invented the idea of a Cyborg, and influenced everything from the Matrix to the Terminator to Star Wars.

I actually don't believe that Kharn is disrespecting Metropolis, rather he was emulating your sentence structure for his point. Of course, his actual intent is up to him to reveal.

It really depends on how you define greatest. If you mean "most popular," the chances are that you are correct. If you meant actually expanding of science fiction themes in a thought engaging manner, no, they are rather pitiful. Actually, Alien is my choice as best science fiction movie of all time. There was a really good top ten list of science fiction movies done by Dr. Bob Blackwood and Dr. John Flynn, but I can't find a copy.

I personaly dont like E1-2 as much as I do the classic trilogy, but from the spoilers Im getting Eppisode 3 is going to kick ass.

That, or it might be a film you watch for the fight scenes.

I still cant wait to see the approx 12 minute dual between ObiWan and Aniakn.

That's about right.

Ugh...

The more I hear of this flick the more I'm dreading the day it'll be released.

Meh, I'll see it on video or something.

The trailer gave me goosebumps. I don't know why you people are 'dreading its release', maybe the quality of it's storyline and directing is linked to your life or something. I'm hoping it will be good, and if it's shitty, so what, I wasted 9.50 watching a spectacular computer generated movie.

Why? Because it's annoyingly hard to avoid. If I hate a beer brand, at least I can just not buy it and move on without people shoving it in my face all the time.

But no. "OH LOLS, STAR WARS R TEH ROCK".

For fans of the old series it's even worse, as they're raping their beloved franchise. People feel this as a personal insult, and it's their right to.

Also, I'm fed up with bigass CGI moves. Grow some imagination, people

PS: about that trailer, from the first post: I really, really wish people would stop abusing the Requiem for a Dream tune. Using it for Return of the King ads was bad enough, but this is even worse. Hello, it's a highly emotional tune intended for a moody, dark and brilliant movie. Not for OMG TEH SPECTAKULAR!

Damn straight.

Star Wars is not SF, it's more fantasy than anything. Anyway, the main problem of newer Star Wars movies are the characters - they are bland and have zero charisma. I mean, just look at this Hayden Christensen guy. Don't you just want to punch him in the face? Even a third class actor like Mark Hamill rocks when compared to this boring, talentless dickhead. And I don't even need to mention the others - there wasn't a single memorable character in the entire Episode I or II. Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson don't even come close to performance and charisma of legendary Harrison Ford and Alec Guiness, all they do is remind me how much better the old movies are.

Second problem is the plot. Remember how in Episode VI Luke was faced with a choice to either fall to the dark side or watch his friends get slaughtered? Basically, he was forced to choose between two evils, and even if he had given in and become Vader's apprentice, it would in a way have been understandable, since he did it to save his friends. Annakin, on the other hand, is descending to the dark side because he is a fucking weakling. He's a stupid, spoilt, whiny brat who will betray the Jedi order and their ideals out of pure, wanton, arrogant spite. A character like Luke Skywalker is a true hero, a young man caught in the wake of great events and forced to fight for survival of the galaxy, as well as his own. That kind of character is favored by people, they enjoy following his adventures and hold their breath in moments when he is making moral choices that could affect the fate of the entire galaxy. All that a gutless disphit like Annakin inspires in people is a desire to kick him in the testicles. I think the only satisfying moment in the Episode III will be watching the little bastard scream like a pussy in that molten lava bath.

IMHO, if someone made a movie version of Knights of The Old Republic game, it would rock considerably more than the entire new Star Wars trilogy, since it has a better plot and way more intriguing characters.

Galaxy Quest was da bomb!

Seeing Star Wars movies is like going to a Yankees game, even if they win, you still know they suck. I'll still see it though.

And that damn Anakin was so fricking annoying in Part 2. Hump the girl and get all the gooey twenty mintue eyeballing scenes over with damnit.
