Bootleg Chinese DVD's rule. The same friend of mine that brought the land of the dead/bugs bunny mix, brought also Hellboy.

Which was translated "Hellish Baron".

I think SW are probably better, i haven't seen the last one, but can anything be worse than those looks Sam gave Frodo, usually while Frodos back was turned to him....

They were like: -Tonight, you are going to get it tonight, you... yeah...you...looking at me like that, moaning all the time, making that faces....im gona get it up your little ass tonight...mm..mm! And there is no grease left ...your gona moan so hard beatch!!

And Gandalf constantly hugging little hobbits.... yuk!

The movie is among the worst adaptations of books to screen in history, but most people like it, because it reminds them of the goodness of books and they forgive tons of shit that got put in somehow.

Fisrt time Galdir apeared i thought: "ahh gay elves...niceee...."

Not to mention Legolas skating on a shield in the middle of battle in Helms Deep....ugh...that was just too much....

And i could go on and on.....and on, and on.

The fact that its being put up to SW in some pole is really the evidence that it has nothing to do with the true story of the Lord of The Rings.

I realy don't consider the movie to be connected to the story in any way.

Cast was completly wrong, horrible. Not one character was presented corectly, except Liv Tyler, but her role was artificialy expanded into something that was not in the book.

And by the GODS , Aragorn did not refuse his heritage as "Elrond" said in the movie.....and refused to give him Arwen hand because of that, but because he knew Aragorn is fighting that battler for years now...He was a bleeding general in Gondolin before Denethor even came to power !!!!

-edit- in Minas Tirith, not Gondolin, sory...i realy get upset thinking about it... -end edit-

And because no man lesser than a king of Numenor was worthy of the hand of Arwen Undomiel.
BLAST IT!!!!

Why did they think it was somehow better to invent a lie that Aragorn refuses his heritage is beyond me.

Thats just one of the examples ....and im gona go away before i realy start to get upset.

The LOTR-series are very boring books. Very boring. Five pages that describes the grey shades of a rock and ten others to describe a queer-looking tree. Yehaw. And the girls in the books are as boring as any ninja-chick in action flicks. It feels like sexism in year 1000 or something... The way Tolkien is made a genious is really beyond my mind...
No sense of humor, lame (at least) songs and the way it is written... ugh. The world of middle earth (as Tolkien intreprets it) is not FELT, it is EXPLAINED, extremely boring. By the way, I friggin' hate the elves. God! I HATE THEM. So boring and predictable and whatnot. Erase the elvish race, please.
And yes, he knew a lot about languages, the different races in Middle earth speaks different languages, that is nice, but that is about it. Booya! :D

The movies are.. not better, just something else. You can't really compare the movies and the books. I think the movies are pretty good. As movies only it is pretty hard to grasp the world of middle earth.

But not a match for Star wars. Star wars is like kafka. Even how odd or strange it gets, the movies/books manages to uphold everything to perfection. Laser swords, brittish-speaking robots, clone armies and green little trolls becomes very real in Star Wars, George Lucas is a movie making genious I have to say. :)

- EDIT
Star wars, watch episode three, four, five and six. One and two are bad, really bad. But it wasn't George Lucas who made them. It was... his evil shadow... yea.

I would really like to sit you in front of lady Galadriel and have her -
look at you.

Then after they would have to carry you away to some nice, relaxing cottage somewhere.

There is much in the Lord of The Rings beneath its surface, and in the legends from the past, songs of time of Silmarilion that give a different light on some things and -beings.

I doubt the elves are good in bed. I mean, they always have a boring aura of light and dignity around them... Nothing interesting there...

Don't get me started about Silmarilion... that is... extreeeemly boring. It is like... reading an encyclopedia about things Tolkien partly made up. I'd rather watch Halflife 2 load...

At the same time it's that encyclopedic aspect that many people find so appealing. A love-it or hate-it sortof thing.

Then again, we're not talking about the books.

teh whole star wars trilogy liked more than lotr but but just the first three are under lotr

PS: sory i dint make a einhrejar parody so i shall make one now

my axe broked today buhu so ai haf to make a new one but i can use a svord in the middletime

Yes, there was a lot of homo-erotic shit going on in LOTR, wasn't there....

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Elves, Dwarves and the Man-boy love (gandalf-hobbit) thing.... Interesting.

Poor Jahakob, unable to understand Tolkien's work.

-EDIT
When the books came out all the critics gave it bad reviews but the readers loved it. What can we learn from this?
-EDIT
